Okay...I have to take a deep breath and reach for a few tissues as I write this review.
First off, I am so sad that this is the end of the Redemption series! I have been devouring these books since the first one came out and am sad to say goodbye to Marcas and Dayton. However, I am so happy with the way it ended and how Ryals managed to create a happy ending that fit nicely into that gray area of middle ground between black and white. Two people, half angel and half human got their chance a happiness.

This, of course did not come easy and I fought with Marcas and Dayton in my mind the entire time, rooting for them to succeed. Some of my favorite Marcas/Dayton moments have happened during times when they were in danger, because it is in these moments that Marcas truly shines as a hero. Yes he is dark and brooding, and in the first two books you had to kind of feel him out. you had to read the emotion behind his emotionless expressions and words. but what I loved about this book, was that he opened up a lot. It was as though almost losing her to Damon between the second and third books put the fire in him. He became so endearingly possessive of Dayton (more so, I think, than in the first two books), and turned into a romantic right in front of my eyes. He kept saying things like, "if you fall, I fall", or "I will never forsake you"....and Goddangit I just about melted into a puddle! I love the way he loves her, and in this book I loved the way he showed it. I also loved how Dayton came fully into her power. In the first two books we have watched her struggle and strain, fighting for control of power she didn't completely understand. Between books 2 and 3 I saw my girl really come into her own and gain confidence and independence.

The ending was soul-stirring and left a lot of angels open for possible spin-offs which I look forward to reading! I will be moving on to those books if for no other reason than to possibly catch a glimpse of Marcas and Dayton!

‘She is beautiful. She is strong. She will rewrite history.’

Ok, so I am hoping if you are reading this review, that you have already read Redemption & Ransom the first 2 books in this series. If so, keep reading, scrap that, comment below and gush alongside of me. We need to discuss this. We need to discuss how brave Dayton is, even though she is petrified. We need to discuss Marcas, that even though he isn’t lovey dovey and says no sweet nothings that usually makes us swoon, he is practical, and makes our heart skips beats ‘I will never forsake you’ Arggghhhhhhh, but mostly we need to discuss the ending. If you haven’t read Redemption, what are you reading reviews for? Geeesh, run, skip, hop, whatever, get over to Amazon and download it. Now. For free. Then read it. Don’t store it on your kindle under freebies for a rainy day. Read it today. If you are already in the middle of something? Read it next! (Then come back and discuss with me :))

“Because if I let you go, I’d lose the half of me that was better. Because if I let you go, I’d lose the only thing I’ve believed in for a long time. Because if I let you go, I’d lose what little part of me is human. And in that case, I’d rather follow you down. So unless you want to attempt a pretty graceless fall from grace, I suggest you hold on.”

Let’s talk Dayton. Boy, does this girl come up with the brass in this installment. She was fierce. She was determined. She was a woman in love who would travel to the ends of the earth to save someone she loved, and damn the consequences. Dayton was amazing. The things she went through at Marcas’s side blew me away. Was she scared? Hell yes. Did she fear dying? More than anything else. Did she come face to face with her exiled father? She certainly did. Did she exceed everyone’s expectations? You betcha baby.

I don’t want to give all the goods away, but I will tell you this book was FULL OF ACTION & DRAMA. There wasn’t a dull moment. Things were happening at full speed & I couldn’t put my kindle down to even answer the phone. There was more of the things you loved right from the beginning – the friendship and banter, the talk of sugar and tv, the cursing and anxious ramblings, vague mentionings from Monroe & Maria, but so much more as well.

‘No one told me that one day a kiss would mean more than the touch of lips, that it would mean more than a moment of pleasure. No one told me that one day a kiss would define who I would become, that it would rearrange what was and wasn’t important to me. No one told me, because I don’t think there are words to describe the kind of kiss that Marcas and I shared now. It was the kind of kiss that made promises without words, that whispered secrets no one else would ever share.’

I was clinging to the edge of my seat from the very beginning. I read it in one sitting. I HAD to know that Dayton wasn’t forced to mate with Damon and become unbound to Marcas. I had to know what would become of the Seal and just how far Lucifer & Lillith would go to execute the hybrids and force Marcas to be his right hand man. I just had to know if Dayton and Marcas would finally admit that they loved each other. I didn’t skim a single word, didn’t think about a single thing aside from these things from the very first word on the first page, until the very last word on the very last page. This book captivated me.

‘There should never be a moment in anyone’s life in which they have to watch the people they love die. If I could have one wish, one wish in the world, I’d wish that no one ever had to watch their loved ones die. Ever.’

If you haven’t read Redemption, Ransom and Retribution yet, I want to know why. These books really are THAT good. You don’t like angels? Me neither. I haven’t really read many I could finish. Don’t like the idea of Demons? Me either. Let me tell you though, the characters and the writing don’t care what preconceived things you start these books with. I am sure you will be converted.

Last note; I laughed and I cried, I cringed and I gasped, but mostly, I just went on one of a helluva roller coaster ride that I would ride again in a heartbeat. Kudos to you Ms Ryals…

”You fall. I fall,” Marcas promised.
I lost my battle with tears. It’s easier to be brave when there’s the possibility of saving someone else. We were going to die.’

This book was gifted to me by the author. Thank You!

This is the conclusion of the trilogy. Dayton has been kidnapped by Damon. Dayton loves Marcas and Marcas loves her too. Damon wants to rape Dayton and trap Marcas. Dayton is so much stronger now and in control of her power. Damon uses the ring to purge Marcas from Dayton. “Because as the ring worked to purge the Demon blood from my body, I felt my heart crack, the hairline fracture moving down the organ, widening until the halves fell apart.”

Dayton goes into the ring to rescue Marcas. “He'd saved a lot of lives, had fallen in love, lost that love, protected me, and then hopelessly fallen in love again.”

And so the exiles go to war in Hell and Bezaliel tells Marcas to walk away from Dayton. In Hell, Lucifer makes Marcas and Dayton suffer through three trials and only their love for each other keeps them alive. There are so many forces standing between Marcas and Dayton and it seems that it would be completely impossible that they can end up happily together.

Along the way, Dayton matured and she trusted and loved the strong, surly demon Marcas. But neither Heaven nor Hell wants to allow them to be together. This was a beautiful love story and great conclusion of the series. I ended up really liking Dayton. I was annoyed with her in the first book, but her pain and suffering matured her and her love for Marcas saves them both. I really liked this series a lot.

Okay, I just now remembered to review this book. This whole series caught me off guard honestly. So instead of writing something about each book, I'll write about the series (since I forget where one book ends and the other begins anyway).
I loved this series. I find that even though I said I want to write about the whole series, I've got nothing to say other than I love it. I love how the first book is a build up of tension, how it gives the reader TIME to BELIEVE that Dayton and Marcus actually really fall in love. It's not just a WHAM I LOVE YOU type thing. I enjoyed the characters, the story, and the suspense. I loved Marcus' character throughout the whole series because FOR ONCE he didn't hide the truth from the female "for her own safety". He was a very sexy male that you could watch actually falling for Dayton. Or allowing himself to feel that he fell... if that makes sense. He makes the whole Demon thing very sexy.

I'll read this series again, eventually. I enjoyed it very much :)

I've been in a reading slump lately and I thanked this series for helping me out of it ^____^ The books was sooo good and addictive! Truly an undiscovered beautiful gem among dozens of paranormal series out there.I just don't get why it had so few readers and not gotten popular. I got into this series while thinking of nothing and just let it carried me to where it want me to be. And I was left satisfied at the end. Just wish there are more of Dayton+Marcas sweetmantic moment though ;D

Excellent finale

The beginning of this is exactly where book two ends. Its written from Daytons POV, who throughout the book matures. She is only 16 when the story begins and its obvious by the things she does. But in this book shes grown somewhat mature. The book is fast pace and full of action. All the characters are likeable. You can feel their emotions through the writing. There is a HEA and it doesnt end on a cliffhanger. No sexual content.

First and foremost, I truly need to thank Author Regina Ryals (RK Ryals) for the wonderful “GIFT” and opportunity to read each one of her books thus far. I am so in love with the “Redemption Trilogy” from the very first book. And to follow is my fair and unbiased opinion in a review after reading this marvel..

Love can overcome many odds. And while this emotion is worth many trials and tribulations, it can also lead to death.

~Bezaliel~

It is love that is forbidden…. Dayton Blainey is thte only sane Naphil ever to walk the face of the earth, and she’s in love with a demon that she’s been bound to by blood.

Can love triumph over fate??? Marcas Craig is the Demon son of Lilith and Cain. He has a destiny he has turned his back on for Dayton.

There is only one choice… Kidnapped by Marcas’ insane brother Damon, Dayton has become a pawn in Damon’s fanatical attempt at securing his own redemption. The Seal is now in the hands of a mad Demon, there is a civil war brewing in Hell, and Dayton and Marcas’s love could destroy Earth.

In the end, will love conquer all? With Marcas now trapped within the rind (The Seal), their binding severed - Dayton also lost his strength and powers. She must face her battles as one… with only HER powers to fight with. Will it be enough?

Her only connection to Marcas now was The Seal, that she now wore and refused to relinquish back to Sophia - the keeper/protector of the Seal.
The only way Dayton would give up The Seal was if Sophia killed her!!! (not a good sign considering the conflicts the two of them already had)

With Monroe’s wiccan protection spell surrounding them, and Connor’s protection of stone the battle begins… it’s a vicious attack coming from Sophia, which caught Dayton off guard, SO strong and powerful.

My daughter is a Naphil, a half - human child sired by a Angel. Nephilim have long since been considered the insane, blood thirsty offspring of Angels who desired human relationships. My daughter is different, she was born to a mother with blessed blood. But, in the end, no matter how different, my daughter is still a Naphil.

~Bezaliel~

Regina weaves a world of love, strength, convictions of determination, oh and so much more for us the readers of this spectacular series…

I am still reeling from the many heart wrenching moments found in Retribution.
The “breath holding” parts where once more Marcas has to endure the fierce trials which Lucifer deals him, but this time he’s not alone- yes you may have guessed it, Dayton - our headstrong Angel is right by his side, going through each and everyone of the trials that Marcas has to endure. GO DAYTON !!!!

Dayton has found her full powers, gaining conviction in her independence of making her own choices - confidence in who she is, and what she had the strength to do; both mentally and physically.

I don’t want to say good-bye to Dayton and Marcas!!!! *shakes head* They have a whole new challenge in front of them… facing them together by choice, for the belief of their love of one another. Then of course with the “bind/bond” of their souls once more, where Marcas goes, Dayton goes and vice versa where Dayton goes, Marcas goes too.

Out of so much diversity, Author RK Ryals has created a spectacular happy ending, keeping our Marcas and Dayton together. *jumps up, and hollers woot woot*
Together, Not in Heaven or in Hell, but in the outer gray area, a middle/outer circle between black and white, and good and evil, as Marcas now leads his own kingdom with his beloved beautiful Angel Dayton by his side…

Two different souls, from opposite sides of our world; One half Angel, the other half Demon, together they have their chance at the happiness and love that they fought so hard to achieve!!! Horray for Marcas and Dayton.

As one series ends, another will start.. There’s Connor, Monroe, the fallen and hybrids to dive into still. So with that being said, I’m off to start the next adventure in the new series of Acropolis….

If you’ve yet to start the Redemption Trilogy, you really are missing out on one heck of an amazing story that is being written by the mastermind of the phenomenal author RK Ryals.

HAPPY READING EVERYONE…

Retribution is the third book in the Redemption Series. Dayton is kidnapped by Damon so he can go forth with his plan to lift the curse now that he is possession of Dayton and the Seal of Solomon. Here we see how Dayton’s sister Amber has come to her senses and helps her sister escape. The bond allows Marcas to communicate with Dayton and he reassures her that he will come for her no matter what. Dayton is able to escape with the help of her sister and Marcas and his brother start a fight…but they both get pulled into the ring. Now Dayton is defeated. How does she get Marcas back? Sophia is demanding the Seal be returned since the bond is now broken but Dayton refuses to relinquish the one thing connecting her and Marcas. Enter into this fray is Bezaliel – Dayton’s fallen angel father. He is not a welcome addition in Dayton’s mind but if he can help her release Marcas she will accept his presence. Through a battle of wills and a demon blood-letting Dayton enters the ring to find and save Marcas. She is successful and they are reunited though the bond is now broken. Now the real battle is upon them. Lucifer is angry by Marcas refusing him. Marcas wants to rule over the half demons that are exiled and persecuted. This band of exiles and fallen angels decide to help him fight Lucifer for the right to reign over the half demons. He and Dayton come to a moment when they realize they are going to be together no matter what. The two along with Luther, Marcas brother enter Hell once more to challenge Lucifer to have control over the half demons. They are set against three tests and though they seem to be passing Marcas and Luther had set up a plan for Monroe, Dayton’s Wiccan friend, to intervene and set them free and return their powers which were stripped before the trials. By doing this they know they have set Lucifer on a rampage and he will retaliate. But they now have an advantage – the half demons. They have rallied and will follow Marcas to lead them. A battle commences…and just as it seems they have the upper hand Lucifer exacts his revenge on Marcas. Yet having the love of a half angel is stronger than the Devil himself. Dayton blood bonds with Marcas again to save his life. Now with his new gained life and the love of an angel by his side Marcas will command the exiled half demons…giving them a choice which they did not have with Lucifer. It may seem so simple but is it really? Now awaiting what is to be of Dayton and Marcas. What will become of their band of Exiles who have followed and fought with them this whole adventure? Is the prophecy of a love between an Angel and a Demon the start to the end of the world? As a fan of this series I am hoping Revelation (when it is released) is the answer to that question.

Retribution is the third and last book of the Redemption Series by the very talented Ms. R.K Ryals. As you all know, if you've been reading my reviews, I am an uber fan of the Redemption Series. I have been raving about it ever since I've read the first one and I am happy to say that Ms. R.K Ryals had even exceeded my expectations for the ending of my very well loved Redemption Series.

Ending a series on a high note is very difficult to do but the author did it well. Retribution started where Ransom, the second book ended. I'm not going to summarize or give away anything because I don't want spoil the readers who haven't discovered the pure genius of Redemption yet. I am seriously recommending this series to all of you who haven't read it!

The whole book is really great! There's nothing I didn't love about it. It retained, if not exceeded the good qualities that made me love the first two books. I saw Marcas and Dayton's relationship grew from nothing to everything. I super love their romance and their chemistry. The way they fought to be together is so amazing and fascinating. I love reading their interactions together because it was never boring. It was witty, sometimes frustrating and most of the time heart-felt. The plot is simply amazing. Forbidden love plot had been used before but Ms. R.K Ryals owned it! She let her character be natural and alive. I've written this before for the first two books and I'm glad that Ms. R.K Ryals maintained the realness and the believability of the characters. The chemistry and romance wasn't forced. And the action! This book is full of action that a reader would definitely feel the thrill of being in a battle! The feel of rooting for Marcas and Dayton to win this epic battle for them to be together is one I would never forget.

Overall, this book is simply amazing! It's perfect ending for the series. I know for sure that there'll be spin off for the other characters and I'm so happy because the truth is, I'm not yet ready to say goodbye to the fantastic world that Ms. R.K Ryals has created. I'm itching to read more!

Retribution again picks up where Ransom left off. The love Marcas and Dayton have for each other is undeniable and their loyalty to each other runs deep. Dayton finds herself in the hands of Damon again, and Marcas is determined to save her. With the Seal now in the hand of Damon, things have changed. This sets into motion a series of events which will test the loyalty and strength of the love Marcas and Dayton have for one another, as they face Heaven, Hell, and everything in between.

This book was even better than the first two. There is nonstop, heart wrenching drama, intense battles, romance, it has it all. Marcas partners with the exiles to save the hybrids, the children of Cain and Lilith, his brother and sisters. The fallen angels, the SOS, and many others have chosen to back him as he prepares to challenge Hell. Dayton is by his side. She is the only one he truly trusts, and if the truth be known, the feeling is mutual. Even though she knows everyone loves her, it is only Marcas who lets her make her own choices. As they enter into the most difficult battle they will ever face their love is tested beyond anything they could have ever imagined, even facing death. I found myself sitting straight up while I was reading this, absolutely dying to see what happened next, yet nervous at the same time. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this series and how much I recommend it, and it ended really, really well. R.K. Ryals has done an outstanding job with The Redemption Trilogy.

(Quotes from Book #3) "We are stronger, Dayton. Together, we are powerful. Trust me." Trusting him wasn't hard, the idea of losing him was.... "Fight, Day. Whatever happens, fight. I am coming."
"I'll never forsake you," Marcas said. I wondered if he knew how much those words meant to me. It was more powerful than "I love you." He would never abandon me.

My review for: Retribution by R. K. Ryals
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Shanna Roberson

First off, I am so sad to see the series come to a close even if it’s only temporary. I want more. I want more of beautiful Dayton and snarky Monroe. I want more of the swoon-worthy demon brothers, Luther and Marcus. With that said; what a hell of a story!

At the end of Ransom, we are left worrying how far Damon will go to achieve his sick plan of redemption? Will he hurt Dayton before Marcus can come to her aid?

Damon had the Seal of Solomon and the Naphil in his custody. And in the safety of the Abbey, he plans to force a bond and a child onto Dayton. Even with her growing power from the bond, she is no match for the ring.

But Marcus would never allow his brother to hurt Dayton at any cost. Not now, not ever. Without giving away too much, this is a battle that will change them all forever.

With things heating up between Dayton and Marcus and all the odds against such a union, their greatest battle is yet to come. When kingdoms are at stake, Heaven and Hell want their claim on victory. Will Dayton and Marcus’ love be enough to save them all? Or will the prophecy of a Demon and an Angel’s love be the world’s undoing?

Retribution a fast paced, heart wrenching love story. It shows that humanity is equal parts dark and light and how selfish love can makes us. It is beautiful and addictive. And I look forward to anything, Ms. Ryals writes. Her way with words is captivating and is proof that Indie writers shouldn’t ever be overlooked. Their stories will steal your heart and leave you breathless.

Now onto Conor’s story,The Acropolis . . .

"The human heart is a strange thing, if loved - it expands, if broken it endures, if tested it perseveres." What an epic love story, starting this series I had no idea how invested I would become in these characters and I am somewhat surprised really. I have read a lot of this genre and the author clearly had engaged me with the story line and with Dayton who is such a memorable and likeable character. This book is about love and redemption. Would you go to hell and back literally for the one you love, Dayton does this and more. When everyone said she couldn't choose to be with Marcas and that she would condemn her soul by being with a demon, she made the tough choices and followed her heart. Despite all the odds, demons trying to kill her, even the Queen of Hell bent on her destruction and Lucifer himself on the brink of war, nothing could sway Dayton from her path. She believed in Marcas and risked heaven to test her faith. Conor and Monroe her childhood friends who go above and beyond to support Dayton and be there for her are characters whose story I would like to read more about in future books. Conor started out so dead set against demons has grown and learned that not all demons are evil. Monroe has become a force to be reckoned with yet supports her best friend regardless of Dayton's choices. The lesson I came away with from this series is that love is the ultimate power and despite destiny or the circumstances we face in our lives, there are still choices and it is those choices that define us.

In this EPIC conclusion to The Redemption Series I had the honor and privilege to read an ARC copy of Retribution and HOLY BABY JESUS did I not want this series to end. I loved it so much and this is one of those series that re-read multiple times.

In Retribution it picks up right where Ransom left off. Dayton and Marcas are still bound but there is something new to them. They have discovered love. They are in love and want to be with each other and it goes against everything known to man for a demon and angel to be together. Dayton has proven that she loves Marcas and will do whatever it takes to be with him. She has defeated his mother who was The Demon Queen and Satan is upset and pays Dayton a little visit.

Marcas will do whatever it takes to be with Dayton so when his father and brother start to work against him he has to fight harder. When his brother Damon kidnaps Dayton he will fight like hell to get her back in his arms. Dayton and Marcas know that there is a war brewing and if they can't get it together soon it will come to fruition and all of mankind will be lost.

In this epic battle where good VS evil is in a show down you do not want to miss what happens. Can love conquer all? Can love survive Satan? Can love crack the evil that lurks in the dark? R.K. I need another series like this because I am so going to miss Dayton and Marcas and Damon and all the drama that comes with them. Thank you for a great series!

It's official. I loved this series. And I loved both Dayton and Marcas. Dayton because even though she was scared, terrified at times, she still stood strong as best that she could. After having been kidnapped and taken back to the Abbey, knowing that Damon intended to force her to bind with him and bear his child, she still fought back and managed to reunite with Amber who she thought was lost to her. She gains her freedom at the cost of losing Marcas; only to have to fight to get him back. I did love that her best friends are still there for her as I love Monroe, Conor, and even Luther. Sophia, I could do without. :P

Some may have found Marcas becoming too soft, but I didn't think so. Yes, he showed a softer side in this one, but I thought he also showed that tough side I loved so much. I will say that it was shorter than I expected it to be and a lot was packed in there (her encarceration at the Abbey, the fight with Damon, Marcas and the Seal, and the fight for Hell).

For me, this was great series. Was it an exceptional award winning series, probably not in the eyes of most, but I loved the characters, I liked the story line and I found it entertaining and engaging which is the whole reason I read. As such, I would recommend this series to anyone who likes paranormal books and cannot wait to continue Conor's story and hopefully get more Marcas, Dayton, Monroe, and Luther (which by the way, I hope Monroe and Luther get their own story ;) hint, hint).

I LOVE THIS SERIES!! I have loved this series from the very beginning and continue to love it,especially a dark and handsome Demon. Retribution had me jumping up and down, sniffling and grinning from ear to ear. Fabulous writing indeed!

The story continues with Dayton and Marcas. Dayton has been kidnapped by Marcas' psycho twin brother. I truly wanted to rip his throat out, but I had to stay patient. Dayton is much stronger than I think even she knows and then you have sexy Marcas who is beyond strong that would never let anything happen to her. My heart was pounding so hard waiting to see what would happen. I love this quote, it tells you a lot about how emotional this book has been. "My name came again, fainter this time. And then.... I love you. The three words were so faint, I wasn't sure they were real. More than likely, they were a figment in my imagination, nothing more than wishful thinking. But I grasped onto them nonetheless. Real or imagined, those words wouldn't let me die." *sigh I love this series!

So much happens in Retribution that I cannot begin to go into detail, for fear I would ruin the ride this book will take you on. Just trust me when I say you will not be disappointed! This is another brilliantly written book by R.K. Ryals. I highly recommend it to EVERYONE!

A fantastic conclusion the Redemption series. I think I loved this last book the most out of all the rest in the series. Dayton and Marcas were finally together and what a kickass team they make. This book picked up right where the last one left off with Dayton in Damon's clutches. Don't worry - rescue wasn't far off! The rest of the book was focused on Marcas' battle to free his half-blood demon brothers from Lucifer's clutches. This results in him and Dayton returning to hell to face down Lucifer and his torturous tests once again. I liked how even though so much had happened to Dayton she was still the same smart-mouthed stubborn girl - even when she has lost so much and been tested beyond endurance. I liked how Marcas and Dayton faced everything together and came out stronger because of it. I'll admit that the end of the battle in the last part of the book had me worried for a minute, but I was relieved to find a happy ending just around the corner. To sum up: this is an awesome well-written book and it's part of an awesome well-written trilogy. If you like paranormal books with a bit of romance, tons of action, magic, interesting and memorable characters then I'd highly recommend picking up this series. The first book, Redemption, is free on Amazon so go get it and start reading it - now!

"Retribution" is a good ending to the Redemption series. While this series is a trilogy, we will still be able to enjoy the tales of Dayton and Marcas in two spin off series featuring Monroe and Conor.

This book began where the previous book ended. Damon has once again kidnapped Dayton and plans to impregnate her. He takes her to the Abbey where the bonding began. However, before he can carry out his despicable plan, Amber comes to her rescue. Additionally, Marcas is not about to let her go without a fight. It is clear, there is no love loss between these two brothers.

As the battle wages Marcas makes it clear he will not allow Lucifer to kill off the demon children of Cain. He will rally their support and allow them to choose whose side they want to align themselves with. Dayton will have to make up her mind just how much she is willing to give up for Marcas. But in the end, she has always known the answer.

Here's the thing, every series has a weak book. For me, "Retribution" is the weakest one. There is plenty of action and challenges for the characters but what was missing most was romance between Dayton and Marcas. Yes, there is a bit of kissy face; but, it was not hot. It was so brief that if you blinked you would have missed it. In the end, I felt the finale was rather anticlimactic. I'm just sayin.'

Retribution (Redemption Series book 3) by R. K. Ryals

I Loved this book.

Kidnapped by Damon, the ring is now in his hands. Can Dayton escape or will Marcus save her? The pair continue their fight to stay together.

Dayton is a sassy, sarcastic, stubborn and completely loveable character. Her determination to do the things that she believes are right regardless of the consequences to herself makes her a strong and captivating heroine. The friendships she forms are also a strong connection felt throughout the book. I loved Monroe and Conor as her best friends and protectors.

Marcus is just the right amount of dark and brooding. He is a strong main character who demands attention and his protection on Dayton makes you fall in love with him. His strength and commanding presence is the perfect compliment to Dayton’s sarcastic, quiet determination.

The introduction of Bezaliel, Dayton’s father adds another emotional aspect to the story as Dayton comes to terms with having her father back in her life. His opinions and guidance help her to make her decisions while also allowing her to grow as a person.

The storyline for this series is original and captivating and I could not put it down. The twists and turns in this series are exciting and I can’t wait to read the next instalment in the series.

Review 6******

I was given this book by the author in return for an honest review.
This is the third and final book in the Redemption Series and I LOVED IT!

Dayton Blainey has faced the Demon Queen, Lilith, and won, but in this concluding book of the series, she has to face an even bigger foe, Satan himself!

Marcus Craig loves Dayton, but will both of them be able to survive what's coming?

This is a very exciting conclusion to a fabulous series! The action is intense, and kept me riveted to the pages! I was so engrossed with the story that I didn't want to leave it long enough to sleep! I was sad when the book came to an end, as I felt that I was leaving some great friends behind. However, I can console myself with the fact that I can always visit them again whenever I want!

R.K. Ryals has written a fast paced series of books that take you on an amazing adventure. She is now one of my favourite authors, and I am hoping to start on her new series, Acropolis soon. I highly recommend this YA series to everyone who loves a great romance, with a touch of danger and adventure thrown in for good measure.

Let me start off by saying that I loved the first two books in the series. My only complaints was that there were a great deal of excess things that didn't seem to pertain to the story at all and that the cover art is atrocious and off putting. If it hadn't been for the fact that it was free, I would have passed over the series entirely. Too many self published authors don't use cover art as the marketing tool it should be, but I digress.

The first two books were beautifully done, a single arc that leads through the story, a release, and end, a teaser. This one seemed all over the place. I honestly expected Damon to be something bigger than he was made out to be. A beautiful opportunity for plot completely wasted. There are serious consequences laid out in the previous books that are never used in this book. There is no damnation for turning away from God, Satan's tests are a joke. The final battle is short and feels rather pointless. The end was the worst part for me, it didn't feel like an end, it felt like a middle. There was no single line throughout the book to pull the character through, no character arc, nothing. It left feeling incomplete.

Damon is seeking redemption and to do so forces Dayton to break the bond with Marcus- which she now has chosen not to do. Now it is up to Dayton to save the day, but whom is she saving the day for- Marcus, Bezaliel, or herself?

Retribution is the title and we are left wondering whose retribution is being sought with Dayton. There is Damon who thinks that by procreating with a demon with the 1/2 angel-1/2 human Dayton, all three worlds would be linked. Marcus who has had his heart crushed by the angel that choose heaven over being cast out for her love to him. And Bezaliel who watch his love, Dayton's mother, die for creating Dayton.

My biggest grievance with this was that it was shorter than the other novels. I would have liked more to be put into the novel since it was a good read and a good story. Some authors you get sick of and can't wait to finish and this one I wanted more and more.

Even though this one was shorter, I would say I recommend it to anyone wanting to finish out the series.
