When I first read this book, I was impressed by the images and the technological predictions... now, as a meditater who haphazardly follows scientific discoveries (mostly via tumblr) it's cooler. Alot of the Sci-Fi here is loosely inspired by true possibilities. Nanobots, the micro biome, neuroplasticity, etc. So basically I'm just waiting for my machine to make me feel things, death to become optional, the pills that redesign my body according to specifications and the ability to manifest whatever I want in space. Clearly, it's only a matter of time ;)

This book was a good trip on mushrooms followed by a bad trip on mushrooms, followed by a good trip on mushrooms, followed by legitimate alien erotica. The author claims to "commune with the tree spirits" in his every day life.
I think I liked it?
But yeah this whole book is on drugs.

Don't think, I've recommended another book to people more than this one, like a missing cog, liken it to a warm cuddle.
