In today's society, everyone lives online in order to interact with each other. In these current times there is not aperson that isn’t somehow linked to a social networking site. Technology has evolved in ways that allow you to access such sites from your iPad or cellphone. With that said, do you know the person behind your next friend request? Do you know the person behind that profile picture, or better yet the person you’ve been chatting with for months or the person you been flirting with, or do you just think you know? Detective Lauren Pitman and her partner Detective Alexis Lovett head a Special Division Unit, in charge of solving Internet Crimes. Those crimes include rape, homicide and missing persons to name a few. Recently women have been targeted throughout the Tri-State Area. Several victims have been found dead with missing body parts. What these women seem to have in common is that all these women were all online on different social networking sites, talking and interacting with a man, who police cannot seem to be able to trace or locate almost as if he doesn’t exist. A recent development has found that this particular social network killer is into cannibalism. Detective Lauren Pitman and Alexis Lovett must work fast to uncover the killers identity before he claims his next victim.

The book, The S. N. Killer by Shameek Speight, focuses on two main characters, NYPD Detective Lauren Pitman and Alexis Lovett, who are working together to apprehend the Social Network Killer. I like the lead detective roles are women; providing qualifications, recognition and the increase of women in a male dominated profession. Unfortunately, the women quickly lose zeal and substance, with the unneeded and overuse of erotica. The erotica did not add or blend into the storyline, but only served as a distraction and interruption to its flow. I found the story to be a combination of Mary Higgins Clark, The Exorcist and Zane rolled up. There is no creativity, no originality and is unrealistic. The story drags, has uneven flow and becomes ridiculous with the supernatural use. The book appears thrown together with very little thought. There are many grammar and sculpture errors. When the supernatural entered the story, it became way too much and I have to rate this book poor. I recommend this book only if it is a free purchase or check out at library!
Just finished reading The S.N Killer and I have to say it was one of the best books I ever read.Mr Speight did a good job of holding my attention from the 1st page til the last. The Sn killer was crazy had me scared and on the edge throughout the whole book lol. This is a must read!!. A lot can be learned from this book BECAREFUL WHO YOU FRIEND ON SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES! & UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES. SHOULD YOU GO TO THEY HOUSE!!. I'm a fan of Shameek Speight for life he made it to my Top Favorite Authors List.
Starts with a sex scene, but before that's even finished it describes in detail how he drugged, then cut her up. Detailed (sick details) about slicing pieces of her thighs and getting rice and broccoli from her cupboard, fring her thigh pieces in oil, sitting in front of her (she's still alive) and eating her flesh. Next chapter has two women cops, one of which has a bad attitude from the start and talking about their "lovers" ficks, pussies, and "bitch" this and " bitch" that. Personally found this disgusting.
This author did a really great job writing this book it was really AmAZING!! This book had something for everyone for the Horror fans, for the people who like reading about drama and it even had some erotic moments within the book. I started this book earlier today and I am finished!! I was truly on the edge of my seat from beginning to end because I just needed to know what was going to happen next
Let me first say this book is very graphic so if you have a weak stomach or you get queazy about things then you probably cant handle this. The main person in this story is truly wicked!! The things he did to these woman was crazy, like who would even think to do something like that.
I have sooo many great things to say but I dont want to give the book away but i think everyone should read it!! I will say the book had some minor tense issues like third person should have been used instead of first but it didnt take away from the story.
I hated that the book ended and I cant wait for part 2 i hope the author doesnt have me waiting forever for this book to come out!
Really good read I enjoyed it and I hope I dont have any nightmares tonight!! I would love to see this as a movie i think, but I know id be scared!!
I'm usually really lenient with books and push through and finish them as much as possible, but this was one of those that I could not. It was such a horribly written book that I could not bring myself to finish more than 4 chapters. The editing in it was horrid, there were so many grammatical errors that you could tell it was from a self published author and they didn't even bother to get someone else to proofread it. I wanted to print out a copy (as I was reading on the kindle) and correct everything and send it off to the author as it was terrible.
Also, shamelessly plugging your own books by name and author? Really?! Ridiculous. I have no idea how other people thought this was even a "good" book. Shameek, next time please have your book proofread or just don't even write another book. Not worth the paper it's printed on.
If you have a weak belly this IS NOT the book for you...lol! It is pretty graphic when it comes to the scenes where the murderer is actually killing his victims...very descriptive! I am only on chapter 4 and its kinda grossed me out a bit already BUT its keeping me interested.
Myyyy goodness, this is a kinda creepy one but its good! It sorta reminds me a bit of Redrum. This is definitely a different kind of book and that in itself is refreshing.
Whew, this book was a Roller Coaster Ride! It kept me glued to the pages trying to figure out WHO, WHAT, WHEN & WHERE! Near the middle/end, I found myself being overly ready to find out who was behind it all and then it was revealed! All in all, a very interesting and different read! I am giving it 3.5 Stars
The S.N. Killer uses My Face and other social networks to meet women online. The only thing is he is nothing like the man he portrays online. The women find out too late what his true fantasy is. Will the detectives finally catch The S.N. Killer or will his killing spree continue?
This is not my first book by this author and this won't be my last book by him. This book was gruesome, and at some points I wanted to cover my eyes. Even through all of that I still loved the story and looking forward to part 2. There were some editing issues that I could not overlook and a fe of the characters names were mixed up. I think Shameek would benefits from utilizing an editor.
You could definitely tell that this was the work of Shameek Speight. It was twisted, it was gruesome, it was traumatizing and it gave me nightmares lol. The descriptions of the killings are enough to make you throw up your food so pls take caution. I was so engrossed in the storyline that I figured out the identity of the SN killer pretty quickly but U was surprised at the back story surrounding it. There were a few editing issues and problems with word tense but nothing to serious and it definitely didn't take away from the story or its suspense. I will be ready for part 2 and I do recommend The SN Killer as well as this author's other books.
This was a GOOD BOOK. There are so many books out now that have similar story lines, similar characters, and predictable endings. This is certainly not one of them. With every flip of the page, there's another twist. I just KNEW I'd figure out who the killer was before the big reveal. Ummmmm, no. LOL...the author did a wonderful job of keeping up with the suspense without making it appear to be overdone or drawn out.
I'd definitely recommend this to others. *NOTE: This book is NOT for the squeamish*
I enjoyed Shameek's twisted mind as usual! I thought that there would be a lot more "ewww" factor then there was. In my opinion, I think that this would have been a great stand-a-lone book. However, I am looking forward to read what happens next with Alexis & Lauren. Also, the supporting characters Vincent and Alexis' daughter should make the book more interesting as well...There were some grammatical errors, I believe if Shameek invested into a great editor, his books would be that much better! Again, just my opinion..ultimately, this was a good read.
I picked up this book because it sounded like it had a really great premise. Once I started trying to read it, however, I couldn't even get past the second page. I'm sure the storyline is as interesting as I expected, but every single sentence was "Subject verbed." "He smiled." "He wasted no time." "She screamed." Please, please, please, Speight, learn about different sentence structures and shake things up a bit. It's horrifically boring to read the same simple sentence structure over and over again.
The premise for this book made it sound very interesting, but after 2 chapters I gave up. The book suffers from massive editing problems, tenses are incorrect within the same sentences, paragraph breaks where there shouldn't be any, words seem to be missing from sentences, etc. Also I kept getting the feeling the book was very poorly translated from some other language and I very quickly tired of trying to figure out what was being said. The only thing about this book that made me happy was that it was a free book from Amazon and I could easily delete it from my Kindle!
This book was a different read and I love it. It was about this man (S.N.Killer) meeting women online and they were meeting up and well you have to read it (lol) i'm not going to spoil it. This book had so many twist and turn in it that I couldn't wait to see what was gonna happen next. This will also change you point of view on meeting men on social sites, and to be more careful of what you're doing. Shameek you have done a great job. i can't wait for part 2
Omg! It took me too long to read this book! Not because it wasn't good but because it was so vividly written it was SCARY! While reading it I felt like I was a viewing a movie and at times I had to put it down and try to shake the images and scenes. This was my first book that I've read by Shameek and he's very talented! I'm scared to know how he came up with this storyline! Makes you want to rethink online interactions because you never know!!!
s from: The S.N. Killer (Kindle Edition) I read the ENTIRE book, because I wanted to know who the killer was. The book kept my attention in that regards. I did however scan pass the majority of the sex scenes. Besides the SN Killer scenes with the victims, the other sex scenes were unnecessary and did not add any value to the story. The author was on to something, but fell a little short. I read the sample of part II that was included, but I have no desire to read any further.
This book shocked and scared the shit out of me. I couldn't believe how careless people were to meeting people on line. I cant tell the whole story cause I wast u to read it. This was a very good read and showed that the author could take it somewhere else. So after a few of you read this we can have a forum. Ubtil then enjoy the read.
I haven't read a book like this in awhile. ( Damn book had me scared and jumping). So many twist and turns as the plot thickens. Oh might I add a positive message too. ( Watch what u post on these social network sites, never know what sick being watching u)! Really enjoyed this story and can't wait till pt2. Love it!!!
Now in this book it's like a detective movie or something, I was doing the same thing as if I was watching lmn or suv trying to guess who the killer is...One thing for sure he was on some Hannibal Lecter an Jeffrey Dommer sh*t, I wasn't gonna finish this book because I don't like gory things but the storyline was good...
Grammar!!!!!!! The airline was really good, but my goodness the improper use of grammar and constant swapping between present and past tense in the same sentence throughout the entire book is such a turn off!!!!!! Would have given the book 5 stars, but the errors messed that up. Editing people!!!!!
This book was very graphic. It took a very long time to read because I couldn't handle the details of the murders. The main characters were okay, but the whole book had way too much sex for my taste. The idea of having a social network killer is realist and could be a great book, but it went to far and left me disinterested.
This book was interesting from beginning to end. A page turner at best. I loved the story and the ending was something I didn't quite see coming. I cannot wait to see what happens next. Job well done Shameek!! Kudos to you...
I gave this book 5 stars. It gave me suspense bound in the supernatural. Complicated relationship issues with gritty characters. I couldn't put the book down.
Once again Mr. Speight did it again. This book will give me nightmare for a long time. Well written I was so involved with this book that I felt what the characters felt. Very good book. This is another book that I will add to my collection. Love your writing Shameek Speight.
I was so into this book I did't want it to end.It makes you don't want to take the time out to meet anyone online. This book would make a great movie. Can't wait for part 2 to come out.
