I’m Nikki James. I am a writer, photographer, and sometimes blogger. I write everything from the quintessential trashy airport romance, action packed adventure quests, Gothic historical romance, paranormal, and steamy erotica.

Note: All titles contain -- explicit -- adult content and lots of bad words, be careful - contents may be hot.

I've been crafting adventures since i was old enough to wield a pen, and, up until the last few years, I never considered writing as anything more than my super awesome hobby. Building new worlds, creating interesting characters, and doing mass amounts of research takes up most of my time. It’s worth the effort. At the urging of a most trusted friend, i submitted my first manuscript—and holy shit—i’m published!

Beyond writing and photography, i love movies. I’ll watch almost anything. Because, why not? I find them inspiring, a lot of times i find myself imagining ways i would have written them better. I’m a huge horror fan, everything from monsters to slashers, and the worse the production quality the better! I also love those old Shaw Brothers kung fu movies — you know ones from the 60’s & 70’s — where you have instant, ridiculously badass kung fu skills by the end credits. Jack Sparrow is my spirit animal—excuse me, Captain. Captain Jack Sparrow.

I have two titles published at Cobblestone-Press, which you can find at…
http://cobblestone-press.com/catalog/...

And, a few titles on Smashwords!

Please check them out!

I'm always looking for *constructive* feedback and ways to enhance my skills, feel free to hit me up on twitter if you have something to say (@luckynik), and if you read something you like, be sure to make someone else’s day and pass it on!

Thanks!

This book was good but WAY too short.

Jay was one of the coolest guys I've ever read about in a short book.

Let's get some things straight though.......

1) No, Grace should not have gone home with him.
2) Yes, Jay should have used a condom if Grace was stupid enough to go home with him, which she was.
3) No woman sitting at a bar just lets some man walk up to her blindly and start to kiss her if she doesn't know him, even if it is to help him get out of trouble with some trick.

All that aside...

I can kind of see why Grace was so taken with him. Nikki James NAILED this man's description. Best description of a man I've read so far. So a gorgeous man walks up to Grace with a pompadour, jacket, black trousers with a thin belt (what guy wears a THIN belt?), crisp, white shirt, skinny tie and CHELSEA BOOTS? OFF THE CHAIN. Who the HELL wears a pompadour anymore? And Chelsea boots? AWESOME. PUNK ROCKER screamed from the rafters.

Yes, I would have been tempted to throw caution to the wind and unfortunately Grace did. She threw the dice and came up with 7s. In real life the same woman would have been found wrapped in a tarp and thrown into the deep woods.

But that being said, Nikki James should make this a full fledged novel. Where did he work to have such a great house? It was obvious he had money. And let's not forget - he was no dummy either. Yum-o.

Great little short book but really next time Grace? DON'T LEAVE BARS WITH STRANGERS AND IF YOU DO? PRAY HE'S NOT A SERIAL KILLER!

Short, to the point and very explicit. The ending didn't really let you know if they stayed together or if it was just a hot sex weekend for them. Needed to be longer and let you know what happened. Good quick read though, read it while I was working out at the gym.

A great and HOT short story. The only negative is that it's a short story. Would love read more about Jay and Grace.

This was a bit of a head-scratcher... the main character knows it's a bad idea to go home with a complete stranger -- though of course she does it anyway -- yet it doesn't even occur to her to worry about having unprotected sex with said stranger? That stretched the fantasy pretty thin. Anyway, this was pretty much sex, sex and more sex sandwiched between the tiniest layers of story. The writing was fairly decent, though unpolished.

So many things wrong with this, the only saving grace was that it was free. The sex was unrealistic, the storyline was the desperate fantasy of a bored housewife at best, and as for lines such as "but if he did turn out to be a serial killer, at least she'd get to have some fun first, right?", did the author intend her female lead to be verging on psychopathic? I can't stress how awful this was.

In the beginning I got into it. But then, it was crazy, a woman get kissed by a stranger in a bar, sure maybe I'd do the same lol but then she leaves with said stranger to his house -she only knows his first freaking name- and then she has unprotected her with him all night. You barely read about physical traits, it starts getting boring, absolutely no substance. Ughh what a bore.

This was a cute quick read. A girl gets stood up on a blind date at a bar but a stranger approaches her and starts kissing her. The book is about their night of wild sex. I did not like how the book ended because it really did not put closure on the story,

Grace sits at a bar waiting on a blind date her friend, Rachel, set her up with. When he’s forty minutes late she thinks about leaving but just can’t seem to get up from her stool. Next thing she knows a hot guy approaches her and starts kissing her like there is no tomorrow. It turns out he’s trying to avoid some chic in the bar that is basically stalking him. They get so hot and heavy that the bartender recommends that they go somewhere else. They leave the bar and by this time we find out blue eyes name is Jay and he invites Grace to his place for a little pasta and whatever else they can get into. Jay fixes them dinner and then what follows is a sexual marathon of maximum proportion. Jay invites Grace to stay for the weekend so they can get to know each other better but just in bed but as people as well. So this blind date blunder became a find of a gem for Grace after all.

I hate it when a guy stands up a girl or a girl stands up a guy. He got what he deserved. I’m glad that these two went out in a date.

As far as short, erotica sexual fantasy type books go, this one was enjoyable. Grace sits at a bar waiting for a blind date to show up. He's already 40 minutes late and she's debating leaving when a gorgeous Adonis walks in, grabs her and plants a passionate, mind-blowing kiss on her, as it turns out, to make another girl in the bar jealous. This is NOT said blind date, but he's so hot that she leaves with him, and oh yeah, goes to his HOUSE where he promises to make her dinner. Visions of serial killers creep through my head but of course, they just end up having multiple episodes of hot, consentual sex.

I got a little bothered by the bodily function descriptions, and the pure repetition of the sex scenes. In fact, I skipped the "morning after" sex because it was getting tiresome. And the characters used so many contractions in their speech "D'ya wanna go to bed?" that it irritated me. But it was a free download, it was short enough that I could finish it in a single sitting, and I read it while sitting on a deck overlooking the ocean on vacation, so life is good!

Really short and great book! The minute I started reading it I couldn't put it down, finished in less than an hour! Grace is awaiting for her blind date in a bar and he is already 40 minutes late.. Thinking she should have left 20 minutes ago she kept waiting cause something told her to stay. All of a sudden, this Adonis walks up to her and starts kissing her passionately! Oh my god and this man isn't the blind date but just a man who wanted to get rid of an ex who was stalking him. Anywho, he makes it up to her for playing along with him and invites her to make her dinner and whatever she was going to do with the blind date. They end up going to his house where there was romance, multiple sex, and just hot vibes within each other! So good of a book, must read!

This might be my favorite story, so far, by Nikki James. It's a little bit of escapist fantasy. To the reviewers who balked at the idea of a heroine going home with someone she just met in a bar - this is FICTION. Enjoy the ride! (Also, try to have a little bit better faith in humanity.)

Personally, I felt like this was a great lust-at-first-sight story with a growing sense of true love on the horizon. A little bit sweet + a little bit spicy. Romance + desire. Just a little escapade to get lost in.

Girl gets set up on a blind date. Guy stands her up. Girl meets new guy. Guy convinces girl to a one night stand at his place. In comes the never ending sex scenes. Girl develops a need for guy. Guy turns a one night thing into a weekend thing.
I liked the characters and I really wanted to know their story, but this isn't that kind of book. Not even close. They get to the point, down to business and then it's over.

This book was phenomenal, but to short. I literally read this in a hour and when I reached the end I thought there had been some mistake. The pages must not have downloaded on my Ipad, but nope it was just that short. I felt like as a reader I didn't receive the kind of closure I needed for it to be a short story. That is why i am giving it 4 stars instead of five. Great characters, great plot, great dialogue!

This was on my nook for awhile so I decided to read it last night....either I read the blurb about the book way wrong or I was insane when I downloaded it. 75 pages 73 of which was screwing a complete stranger without any protection. Awesome. Call me old fashion but I enjoy some story line before the pants come off.

Definitely a head-scratcher. A girl gets set-up on a blind date by a friend and ends up doing the deed with a total stranger. Thought this was something cute and fun but didn't really suit what I was looking for in a book. Good thing this was short though.

This is a nice change from other erotic romance short stories/novels with the marriage-proposal/happily-ever-after endings. It was a straightforward liason between Jay and Grace - pleasantly surprised I didn't care there was no storyline.

Why is it when we read about things like this it is hot, however in real like we may be completely freaked out? It may not be realistic but if this story were a promise of what is waiting out there for me I think I would be in the bar every night!

Short and steamy story about a sexy man meeting a beautiful woman in a bar where they instantly are attracted to each other when they kiss for appearances. They take it to his house where the attraction takes it up a notch and the weekend turns out hot!

So, I didn't realize this was a smut book. Hence my confusion when the supposed blind date love story turned into an all night sex-fest.

Just a weird story altogether. It was free at least, so I only wasted my time reading it.

Hahaha what in the hell did I just read?!

I can't imagine a world where situations like the one presented in the book actually work out but as far as fiction goes, why not right??

3 stars for the hot stranger sex lol
