Siren Island is a trilogy, and Taken is the 3rd book in the series.
You'll probably want to have read the other two books first, as this book starts off in the middle of a kidnapping and could be confusing if you don't know the backstory.

I have to admit I almost didn't finish the first book Shipwrecked because of the dubcon/rape scene between Lucy and Jack that it started with, but I read on and the story improved after that. The sirens intrigued me, and so I chose to continue the trilogy.
Lust For Gold is book 2. It had a noticeable change in tone between Lucy and Jack, and they seem content and sometimes even happy to be together. It was much more of a fun read.
and finally, we have book 3 Taken - and I loved it!

The story really seemed to come alive here - Lucy and Jack were happy together, then she was kidnapped and taken from him. The story involves Lucy working her way free from her kidnappers and finding a way back the the island where Jack and the other survivors were.
There isn't much more of the story I can write without spoilers, but let me just say that the happy ending came in an unexpected but perfectly fitting way. I loved it!
