All you need to know:

I'm squicked out.

Aside from the whole "Pussy eating Pussy" thing (I just had to skim and pretend it wasn't happening), this was a pretty good BBW/shifter romance. It was a good length, just long enough to not feel rushed. There was a nice suspenseful conflict, the heroine was likable (if a little too trusting) and the hero was sweetly alpha (despite his down-and-out circumstances).

The emotional connection between the H/h could have been better fleshed out, and after the first few pages of dialogue between them, the V's in Mohan's speech could have been dropped. We get it. He has a thick Russian accent. All of the "Vat is you vant? Vhere you vant go?", was a little tedious after a while. She really could have dropped the V's and just referenced the "heavily accented English" after a chapter or so.

So, bonus for length and pacing, BBW heroine and bad-guy troubles. But the bestiality was cringe-worthy and the huge amount of accented dialogue took me out of the story sometimes. Pleasant diversion. Wouldn't re-read or recommend.

Julia is in desperate need of a new start, heading to her grandfathers house in the Australian Mountains seems like the ideal choice for a fresh beginning. What she finds is a house in need of repair, a Siberian tiger who thinks he is her pet, and a man looking for work who she believes would never be interested in her.

Mohan escaped barely with his life from hunters who had no qualms killing fellow shifters for the game of the hunt. Being in Julia's company is probably not the smartest thing he should do, but a growing attachment to the giving woman has him wanting more than friendship with her. With his past still haunting him, he has to confess all to Julia and hope that she can accept him for who he is.

Enchanting story, there were elements that were unique to shifter stories. There is a clan element that you could easily imagine being true as Mohan describes his past.

4.5 csillag

Imádtam Mohant a maga csendes, mégis domináns stílusával. Perverz egy tigris az biztos. :)) Az orosz akcentusért pedig plusz pont: imádnivaló, da?

Solid 3.5 stars.

Good, short read. Mohan is a Russian Tiger shapeshifter and Julia is a divorced, plus size woman trying to make a life after finding out her husband was a serial cheater.

It's sweet really. I mean the bad guys are there and you know their stories enough so that you really don't like them but the focus is well and truly the developing relationship between Mohan and Julia. You truly believe they fall in love which makes the story such a good feel story. And while there are a lot of sex scenes they are pretty tame and not overly explicit.

Awful. Frankly, too long. Some real weird stuff going on that makes the whole thing very uncomfortable to read, and the plot was unoriginal, predictable, and boring. Reads like a recent divorcée's coping mechanism.

I can remember the last book that I stayed up all night to read. And the reason I can remember that is not only because, obviously, it was an amazing book that I loved, but mainly because it was years ago. Yep, years. Harry Potter 7 was the last book that upon starting it that night/morning (I was at the midnight release party for it), I could not sleep and let the book wait until daylight. I didn't quiet make it all the way through before I had to, unwillingly, put it aside for a few moments of shut eye, but I was at least half way through it, and I finished it within a few hours after waking up. :)

Why am I tell you this? Because last week was the first time since HP that I stayed up till all hours of the morning reading a book—and while it is nothing like Harry, it is similar in that I loved it as well!

Although it may sound a bit cliché, I promise you it isn't—Tiger Mine kept me turning the pages, barely stopping to pause until I reached the very end!

I read a lot of shifter books—I love a good alpha hero any day, but one that can change into a wolf or big cat always has me panting for more! And yet despite all the books I've read from this genre, it is books like Tiger Mine that keep me coming back. Fresh, captivating and sexy, Tiger Mine is one of the best shifter novels I've read in a while, and one that I will be rereading again and again!

I have to say first off that I loved Mohan. And I won't lie—it all started with his gorgeous (and totally lick-able...) “tattoos”, which are really more like birthmarks all over in the shape and color of his tiger stripes. The way they twist and curve around his rock hard body....wow, the visual alone had me drooling all over my NOOK! I think if I ever saw a picture to match (or, you know, Mohan himself, which would be preferable!), I would totally explode on the spot. Literally. :)

Watching him slowly start to open up to Julia only made me love him even more. And his sexual prowess? Yeah, it helped as well. Big time. :D Magical tongue and stamina to die for—what's not to love? And I won't even get into the one scene with the ice cube... *shudders* Oh my!

I think the part that really made me fall for Mohan completely was when he was sleeping by Julia's bedside when she was in the hospital for a few days towards the end of the book. His love and devotion to her was evident, and very heartfelt. Not to mention the fact that the way Julia described seeing her sexy shifter sleeping made me smile and sigh and pant, all at once. :D Watching your man sleep can be just as sexy as watching him do..other things. And this scene proved that point!

Julia was also a great character, and I enjoyed reading about her. If anyone deserved a HEA after putting up with such a jerky husband for so many years (not to mention a mother that, though she appears for only a few scenes, annoyed the crap out of me), it's Julia! She has her own past to worry about, and so does Mohan, a true tortured hero. His village and family murdered before his very eyes, and he was the only one who survived—luck, some would say, but not him. He blames himself, and wants to get his revenge on the man who hunted his family down.

Both of them will have to work things out as they go, learning about each other as their relationship grows. But they're relationship is based on some very stable and deep emotions, and I loved that they truly did fall not only in heavy lust with each other, but love as well!

^Favorite Quote/Passage:

She had proven to him he was not as numb and cold as he had believed. Julia was a bright flame chasing away his darkness and cold.

He did not understand it, but for once, he did not want to understand, only to touch and to feel. She strengthened his heart, giving him a new hope.

They both had deep inner wounds and, perhaps, it was fate they had found each other. He did not know about himself, but he would try and help heal this fragile woman's wounds the best he could, just as she was starting to heal his.

5 STARS! Filled with enough sexy scenes to possibly set your e-reader on fire, Tiger Mine kept me up later than any book has in a long, long time, and I think that alone says a lot about the pure talent and passion with which Angela Castle writes! This was my first time reading her work, but it will not be my last by any means, regardless of the genre! As if the fact that she can write a hunky hero and strong heroine wasn't enough, I loved her writing style, which was very smooth and the story flowed nicely. I highly recommend this sexy shifter tale to any fan of the genre, and for those who are unsure about a shapeshifter hero, well I think Mohan can help you to overcome that very easily! :) Just be sure that once you pick this one up you also grab some ice for yourself, and get comfortable because you will not want to leave this book until Mohan and Julia have their HEA!

To See Review at Booked Up

Since divorcing her cheating husband after six years of marriage and having enough of the pitying look in her friends' eyes and the continued condemnation from her mother, Julia Cooper wants a quiet place where she can decide what she will do from now on. So she goes to the old farmhouse up in the Snowy Mountain Ranges left to her by her grandfather.

But, the place isn't empty; tiger shifter Mohan hides there. And when she sees that the huge tiger, instead of eating her for dinner steals her dinner, she gets curious.

"You know, that was my dinner. If you're that hungry, you could have asked."
"Now, remember, I'm not food but a friend. I really love cats, and you're the most beautiful big cat I've ever seen. Please don't eat me."

When Mohan discovers that she plans to hire a person to help her fix her grandpa's old place, he decides to be man during the day and tiger during the night.

When real estate agent John Leeman thinks that:

Julia Cooper was a means to end his long running debt, and her wealth would set himself up for a good future

… and blackmails her for money if she doesn’t want to reveal that she is harboring an illegal immigrant. That makes Julia decide to pull every string she can to make Mohan a legal resident of Australia.

When they thought that they finally left the past behind and are married, they discover that John Leeman had being in alliance with the very man who killed Mohan’s loved ones and now is coming for him. They have to fight for their survival.

I loved the book! Although the humor appears mainly in the first part of the story (it will make you burst into laughter every couple of pages), the writer keeps the same amazing style along the entire book. Here are some lines I love most from it:

It felt surreal. Who shared their bed with a white tiger? Well, obviously crazy, divorced women did.
Mohan, with a new driver's license in hand, asked to borrow her car. She smiled and nodded, jokingly telling him not to run too many people over.

Ms. Angela Castle created wonderful, deep, and credible characters and I bet that at least one of you will fall for Mohan, I loved him too. As always, she keeps the reader’s attention rapt until the last word. So 5 stars for the book, it deserves this and more.

Okay so i have to admin that well..... I LOVED IT! It may not of been written the best but i loved the context! I liked how you got to see things from both character as well, Julia is a great character at first she comes of as shy and self conscious but then BOOM! She comes flying out of her skin into a assertive but she still has her sensitive and she when she cried i related with her and in her position i would of cried to. Well what do i say about Mohan HOT! And even after all that has happened to him he is still a strong character and even thought he feels guilty he does bot let it overwhelm him, i just love the way this book went and the epilogue is sweet and gives you a view into there future in a few years. There was a part where i was like awww gross! And made you want to be like really girl really? But in the end i really enjoyed it all together :)

I skimmed over the sex scenes after reading the first couple... there was a lot of sex, it seemed. Otherwise, I really liked this book. I don't really have any complaints. Weird, eh? I think the number of sex scenes would be fine for most people that enjoy this type of PNR, but I'm exhausted and am fantasizing about my bed too much to enjoy it. But I was so into the book that I was willing to lose some sleep in order to finish it by skimming the final sex scenes.

I was pleased to find a tiger shifter book. I'm not a huge fan of shifters and I'm toootally over wolves at the moment, so an exotic and beautiful white tiger was exactly what I needed to remind me that not all shifters are the same.

Highly recommended for shifter fans. And fans of sex, I guess.

Very enjoyable easy/fast read about a Russian white tiger shifter and yes hes got a cute accent. This is a sweet love story with a little suspense at the very end. The story also has a great epilogue which shows their HEA. Mohan even has some interesting markings on his body that I really loved - not something you normally see in shifter stories.

Sex Scene Info :
6 scenes give or take of regular sex. The author varies it, never gets boring in fact its never the same any time. There's light bondage in one scene.

4 give or take of Mohan using his tongue while in tiger form on Julia.
*The first two happen when Julia has no clue he is the tiger but she still enjoys it much to her shame.

*WARNING*:I think everyone needs to be warned that this book has bestiality in it! Numerous times the hero has oral sex with the heroin while in animal form. Some people may not be ok with this. I was slightly uncomfortable with all of the scenes related to bestiality but I just ignored them.

The rest of the book was written very well. I love the characters and how they grow closer and their relationship builds. I also like how we get to see the epilogue of how things turned out for them three years later.

I enjoyed this book. I liked that the couple whilst having an attraction to each other actually got to know one another before their HEA so it felt believable rather than sex masquerading as a relationship.

I liked the development of our leading lady and how she came into her own.

The bad guys were a little extreme but given they didn't have a lot of page time, it didn't impact that much.

Overall an entertaining read.

BAHAHAHAHAH This book was hilarious too me ! who the hell just lets a TIGER for god sakes into their home and makes it a pet ?! lmfao okay but other than that ridiculousness it was a really good book ! the russian accent was very funny to read. I'm a sucker for a hot man with a accent. The realtor was such a creep, so was the mother ! I give this one 4.5 stars !

This book had me so captivated I could hardly put my kindle down. I've always loved shifters but this book just took my breath away. In fact it's so good that I have already recommended it to my friend, who I know will enjoy it as much as I have and I hope you do to if you are lucky enough to read it.

This is a tiger shifter erotic romance. Where the heroine is a plus sized woman who just had a divorce. Two and a half to three stars. I was stuck. When an authour keeps pushing the accent writing in the story it turns me off. There were times also in the story that his accent wasn't written whe he was talking. It got annoying. The sex was hot though.

Mohan ... I love this name and it's great for a white tiger.

The story is good but it's very difficult nowadays to believe the heroin is not freaking out more when she sees the tiger... or even the guy.
The end was a little to fast too.

But great sex scenes

Great

My kinda of book. Great storyline with a HEA ending. I wanted to know more about Mohan's back story in Siberia though. Enjoyed Julia being a strong female character, not mousey. The love and trust they had, really showed through. Even enjoyed the sexy parts.

Mohan was a sweetheart. Also I liked Julia, she was cute and strong at the same time. Their relationship was great.

Aside from some angsty past, it was a sweet romance.

The background was different and compelling but the story was typical and predictable erotic shifter romance. Cute but nothing special about it.
