In the eyes of his friends his team he was dead. But Stavros escaped the explosion they thought claimed his life, just barely. The scars on his face and body told of the horror and pain he has faced since then. He was always told a wounded tiger walks out into the wild to die. He did that, not wanting his friends to see him slowly waste away. She wouldn’t let him.
Amari Montgomery took care of him and protected him even from himself. She didn’t blink an eye at his scars and pushed him to contact the only family he ever knew, The Army Beasts. In the cold harsh lands of Alaska, in her arms, he found serenity and passion.
Until one night she was taken and he needed his friends to help him find the woman he now called his mate. If he had to die to save her, he would without question. She was his reason for living.
Stavros has secrets. He's a wounded ex-vet hiding from his buddies, and oh by the way shifts into a beautiful white tiger. Amari, also on the run from a medical doctor who is killing people and harvesting their organs. When Amari is kidnapped, Stavros reaches out to his friends. Another fun, quick read with found friends, sexy times and hea.
Great story on friendships with his brothers in arms and his budding romance 😍. The only problem I had was too many typos to count. It made embarrassing the story completely impossible.
Ms. Rose had to show the past relationship when everyone thought Stavros was dead. She had to show what Casey and the gang went through and how they reacted at his return while building a new relationship with Amari. I think she did it in an amazing fashion. The book was well written and exciting from the very beginning. You could feel what Stavros's emotion were how he felt being away from the team. The way his father messed up his thinking long ago to make him think he isn't worthy of life. Then there is Amari, who wants the man as he is scars and all and when he needed a good kick in the pants. She was there to do it. Fire in a heroine coming from Ms. Rose, yes yes. I love how she writes her heroines as independent women who finds love when they were;t exactly looking for it. I cannot abide by a weak woman because we are women are not. We can be hurt, we will cry, we'll bend but we won't break. I read Ms. Rose books and it reminds me that life isn't always perfect but when you least expect it you might find the one. In between all the excitement and going ons. You see a relationship being built and growing. I am now onto f her die hard fans. There was she sadness on my part to see the series end. The Army Beasts all back to gather ready to face the world. As my review said, it was a fitting end to great series. A series I'll return to more than one and re-read just because each character captured my heart and I lived the story with them.
It was a fitting end to the Army Beaste story. So glad Stavros was alive and the same sweet guy with a few issues he's always been. Our heroine Amari had a lot of spunk and was a fitting mate for Stavros, strong and intelligent with a good sense of humor. My problem with the story was that it seemed as Mr. Rose just through it together. Sure Ms Rose is hit and miss, always a good premise but the follow through can leave you wanting. This was one where for me the lack of editing got in the way of the overall story she was telling. The dialogue contained problems as well, one minute there was this great banter that you expect from friends and the next the dialogue and inner monologues were old hash.
