With so many pressures from friends, parents, and teachers sometimes it's hard to know where to turn. Best-selling author and Brio magazine editor Susie Shellenberger reveals the energy and purpose that can come with daily time in God's Word. Each day's devotion includes a suggested Scripture reading, a devotional thought, application idea, and a short prayer. Get into God's Word each day to keep going strong.
Susie Shellenberger is the editor of "Brio" magazine for teen girls, published by Focus on the Family. She's a former youth pastor and high school speech and drama teacher. Susie has written 36 books. She has a passion for MKs and has been on every continent of the world (yes, even Antarctica). Susie sometimes eats cereal for dinner and is led on a walk around the park every day by her 150-pound Saint Bernard, Bosco.
This is my first devotional! I'm really excited to see what I'll get out of it and how it can help me to run faster down God's path for me. So far, it's really great and not boring at all! Actually, very inspiring.
As a Christian teen it was so difficult to find stories I could relate too. In this guide that literally breaks down scripture and puts it into perspective of how we as young adults live everyday life. I recommend this book to any "new" Christian hungry for the word of God.
I wasn't able to get very far in reading this because all the ones that I read were about how not fall into new age stuff. It was all good info, but not really devotional material.
