Typical Apocalypse story , but made interesting by the point of view of a totally narcisstic , self-centred , snobby and delusional celebrity who cannot come to terms with her essntial frailty and powerlessness !!!

It talks about the obsession for fame and popularity in a beautiful way. It Punches you straight in the face, without even touching you! A must must read!

I didn't think it was possible for a short story, but the only reason why this only received 2 stars is because the main character was so disagreeable! Like wow chick! The world is ending and you continue to be vapid, self-centered, and shallow while your parents are drying?! Wow.

A well written short story about a narcissistic, entitled, self absorbed star with four gold records and three Grammy awards who refuses to face a modern 'On The Beach' reality.
