I once recognized what it was to be human. Now I’m discovering what it is to lose my humanity. My existence as a Vampire is altering what I am; revolutionizing everything there is about me, transforming me into something horrific, salacious and merciless.

The heartbreaking thing about it all is that I’m relishing every moment of it.

The Marauders are still shadowing me, their Werewolf acolytes on my trail. The Vampire Connor, my black haired savior, stands by my side, prepared to sacrifice his immortal existence for me if required and yet the more time I spend with him, the more I realize that he can’t be trusted. He schemes, he plots and with every waking moment, the sadistic, inhuman butcher that he is, makes its way to the forefront as the ramifications of what transpired in California come home to roost.

Yet in the midst of all the slaughter, devastation and falsehoods, just off in the distance looms the Prophecy, the Box of Pandora, destined to be unsealed by my hand. That day is coming and once it arrives, the Celestials, the antediluvian deities of old, arrive with it. Their only purpose being the complete enslavement of all reality itself. My name is Madison Amber Rose and this is my story.

I love Connor!

I just finished reading the first book and have started in on the second one. The vampire Manifesto was a good book that i really enjoyed. It had vampires and werewolves and magic, which are my favourite genres. It also had a bad ass vampire in it.

That being said I dont like this book as much as the first one and not nessisarily because of the writing style. True, I'm only 39% of the way through it but I dont like how the plot is going so far. The plot seems to have deviated a bit from the first book.

At first I thought Madison was going to ditch Ethan for Conner and she did and that practically made up the first book if you chuck in a couple fighting scenes (which are my favourite!). In the second one I thought they were going to live happlity ever after, after they'd killed the Translucent Man and rescued Jenova Darkstar.

Right now I'm reading about how Madison's in love with another girl which kind of pisses me off. She has two hot guys to chose from but now she's with a random girl? I have nothing against homosexuality but I wanted to read about the hot guys, being heterosexual myself. not really some girl on girl action.

Usually when a book plot does this to me I go check through all the other reviews for it and see what happens, or at least who ends up with who but this book doesnt have any, so I thought I'd write one just to be a douche.

Not sure if this book is going to be a waste of time (as in Madison doesnt end up with Connor) or if it will turn out how I want it to. Still dont know what Ethans role is, so far haven't seen much of him.

If I had to chose between Madison turning Dakota or killing her, I'm tilting towards the latter.

!!TEAM CONNOR!!

didn't like this book as much as first on. It got really wierd and confusing towards the ends. It went from being a vamp type book to being a sci fi book with interdimensional travel . gods and titans and alot of other mush written in. It jumped around way to much.
