Introducing the sensual West Coast series from NY Times and USA Today bestselling author Jasmine Haynes.
A man, the hotwife he can’t control...and the woman who wants to fix what’s wrong with him.
Tough, autocratic CFO Clay Blackwell strikes both fear and loyalty into the hearts of his employees. But he’s got one quirk no one at high-tech Silicon Valley company West Coast Manufacturing knows: he loves the idea of his live-in girlfriend Ruby being with another man...then coming home to him for the best time of his life as she describes every naughty detail. He’s got only three stipulations: no coworkers, no other man in their own home, and she always has to tell him when she has a date. The problem? What to do with a “hotwife” who has all the freedom any woman could want, but still can’t follow three simple rules.
Jessica Murphy has the utmost respect and admiration for her alpha male CFO. She also has wild fantasies about Clay every night. Not that she’d ever tell anyone. Until she walks in on Clay’s girlfriend Ruby getting wild with Bradley the financial analyst right on Clay’s desk.
After that, all bets are off and a little revenge is the name of the game. Ruby thinks she’ll placate Clay by telling him he can be with another woman to pay her back for all her rule-breaking. When Jessica learns about that, she makes up her mind to seduce her sexy boss for keeps, not just one night of revenge.
But can she become the more-than-one-man woman Clay Blackwell wants? Or will his desires tear them apart?

I never read about a "Hotwife" before, so this was uhm...
For those in the dark - like I was: A hotwife is a man who sends his wife/girlfriend out to shag another man, then she returns to him with another mans come all over her and he gets off on it! He goes wild for her! She relays everything this stranger has done to her while he f#cks reclaims her as his own.
So that's kind of ...yuck! To me anyways.
There's a bit more to this story than this strange kink but I just couldn't get passed it. It is kind of compelling, in a weird sort of way to read it.
I had never heard the term hotwifing and on glancing at the book title I wrongly assumed it stood for ‘hot wife’ as in sexy. How wrong was I! Had I been aware what it meant before I downloaded the book I never would have done so.
Note to self, just because it is free doesn’t mean it is my cup of tea.
The positive – I got my money’s worth (it was free) and I was educated on a sexual behavior I had never heard of before.

3.5 Stars Super Hot Smut I actually really enjoyed this one. I found Clay's kink a bit odd but overall, it was really interesting and Very Naughty and Steamy. I didn't like Ruby but I did like Jessica. And loved the ending
A quick smutty read and, if I'm going to be honest, got me really interested in Erotica. 😈
Well, this was a hot mess. Equal emphasis on the “hot” and the “mess”. The hotwifing was hot but the workplace power dynamics were not. Jessica needed to get over her crush on Clay and find a new love interest and job at the same time. He could have easily been sued for workplace sexual harassment. I sure did not believe their declarations of love after only hooking up a couple of times. It was confusing to get the POV from the Evil Ex. At first I thought it was going to become an FFM relationship, which could have been interesting, but she was awful so I was glad it ultimately didn’t go in that direction. Her book is next but it didn’t entice me to read it. The gender essentialism was rough too.
Characters: Jessica is a 35 year old white accounting manager. Clay is a 45 year old white CFO. He has two teen sons. This is set in Palo Alto, CA.
Content notes: infidelity (Ruby cheats on Clay; Clay has not officially broken up with Ruby when he hooks up with Jessica), Evil Ex trope, past divorce, FMC pretends to be a sex worker, kink-shaming (somewhat countered), fatphobia (not countered), on page sex, voyeurism, hotwifing, FMC engages in boss-employee role play with someone other than MMC, alcohol, gendered insults, small penis insult, gender essentialism, ableist language, hyperbolic language around suicide, reference to a coworker’s wife who died of cancer
This book has introduced me to Hotwifing. Had never heard of it before!! It is certainly a different fetish for me and I'm not sure how I feel about it, but I can tell you how I feel about Clay!! ohh I love a hot and lustful man!! Love that he could have just eaten her up based on the scent on another man on her!!! WOW CRAZY CLAY. Not sure if the fetish is for me but I tell you lustful men win me every time! Did I mention I love the cover too???
This is what I call a "sex, sex, plot" book--twice the sex, half the plot. It's okay for what it is, but for what plot there is, I'd rather have fewer details about the business and more character development.
For those inclined to clutch their pearls over anything that deviates from vanilla sex with some light BDSM thrown in, this isn’t the book for you.
At the very least, look up what a “hotwife” is before reading if you’ve never heard of it before. Here’s a hint: it’s not a wife/gf who is just, you know, hot.
This isn’t my particular kink, but I still enjoyed the story and thought it was well done. I kind of have to give props to an author who can make a whole story based on sex actually work. The hero’s kink/fetish is central to the plot, though I would say what it is really about is honesty, trust, and respect in your relationship.
I decided to give this book a try based on the review by S Richards, and the author whom I have read before. I must say straight away that this is not going to suit everyone's tastes, especially if you are a regular Mills and Boon reader. Wait a minute I am a regular M&B reader lets scratch that. Clay and Ruby have been together for three years they indulge in a different kind of relationship called hotwifing. I have never heard of this, but it seems the woman with her partners permission has sex with other men. But she tells him about it, every detail. The woman's permanent partner finds this is what rocks his boat he loves to smell and taste another guy on his woman. Although the woman's partner in this case Clay, never has sex with other women. This is the arrangement Clay and Ruby had. But and there is always a but. There are rules, just as there are in any relationship be it marriage or just plain old boyfriend and girlfriend, and it's the rules that Ruby breaks. Which lead to consequences for her and Clay. One of the rules is that Ruby must not have sex with a work colleague. It is this rule that Ruby breaks she has sex with a co-worker, and as she and Clay work for the same company, the consequences are higher. But worse they are caught by Jessica another co-worker and, who has no idea of the arrangement between Clay and Ruby. Confident that things will be okay, Ruby lays out her and Clay's private life detailing their special arrangement to Jessica. Ruby believes that this mousey little woman will say nothing. Jessica is not sure she believes Ruby, Jessica does not believe that Clay would be happy for another man to have sex with Ruby across his own desk. So after grappling with this a couple of days Jessica tells clay, what she saw. Plus Jessica has always wanted Clay for herself, though she knew he would never be interested in her, not when he has galmorous and sexy Ruby at home. Clay is furious with Ruby. Jessica sees her chance with Clay and decides to go for it. Clay is suddenly in turmoil Ruby has been his partner for so long, but he is becoming more and more tempted by Jessica.
This is an unconventional story to say the least. Once I started reading I finished it in one session. Yes it's hot but I have read many books with sex scenes just as hot as here. What was so good about this was the writing that was excellent without that this would have been a non starter. It always amazes me the complexities of human relationships, and the conception of self worth which is often very fragile, and the lengths people go to trying to hang on to something that was never very strong to begin with. For those of you who like a HEA I believe there is one just not the usual sort. This is a fabulous read I could not put it down, after Initially thinking I would not like it. But I decided to read this with an open mind. I was not disappointed.

“Revenge Sex” is a contemporary erotic romance of approximately 39,000 words / 150 pages.
The book contains the following bonus material:
Excerpts from “Dead To The Max” and “Kinky Neighbors” by Jasmine Haynes, plus a sneak preview of the next West Coast novella “Submitting to the Boss.”
I received this book through goodreads first reads! I found the book to be a quick easy read.
CFO Clay Blackwell finds himself in a the situation of being upset with his current girlfriend Ruby for breaking the 3 basic rules of their relationship. 1. No sex with anyone from work, 2. No sex with someone else in their home and 3. Ruby has to tell him when she has a date.
Unfortunately , for Ruby he does not find out from her, about her breaking the no sex with a coworker rule while trying to spice up their relationship , but from another coworker . One who he is interested in; but because she is a coworker has stayed away from. Jessica ,who catches Ruby having sex in the office is mortified that the man she dreams about and has been secretly in love with for the past three years enjoys being told and encourages his girlfriend to have sex with other men , then come home to him tohave even better sex while she describes her experiences with the men she picks up earlier.
But it does not stop Jessica from taking advantage of the situation! Clay tries not to get himself involved but succumbs anyway.
Decent plot line , intresting charachters but found myself annoyed with Clay, for an apparently intelligent man he broke his own rule to start with; he worked with Ruby!

Short, hot, interesting, JH knows how to write erotica. The topic is hotwifing, I googled it, I still don't know if its a real term and I am too shy to ask. Like swingers and swappers there are those that are turned on by being cuckolded. So much so, that it becomes an imperative to have the moment described and detailed which is even more of a turn on for some. Before I read this book, I wouldn't have thought this was possible and certainly not that I could read about it and see the beginning of a love story, but we all come in different shades of want and desire. At the end I believe this can be true but more importantly, this story had me engrossed in the desires of Clay and Jessica to the point where I would have read a lot more about their strange relationship than where it stopped in this book. However, this would normally make me feel frustrated because I do like a long book, but I have to hand it to this author, she has never disappointed me and she knows just where to stop a story and leave the reader waiting. It is not a cliffhanger, it is just a short, short book. If you want to be intrigued, shocked a little, drool a bit over her description of a hot older guy, and read some of the most erotic scenes ever, this is one of those books. I recommend it highly!!
This was just a strange story. Not sure why I finished it, now I know it was to short not to finish. The whole twisted concept that gets Clay off was a real thing but so obscene to me. But hey whatever floats your boat. Clay never did it for me and Ruby was just a ho and Jasmine was just waiting for her turn. This story just never got me to care either way about any of them. A virtual waste of time. Others may think it's hot, but this mindless stupidity of wanting your woman to go screw another guy so you can taste him on her when she comes home to you is not saying much about your personal interest in her. It's all about what he wanted, no matter how twisted and they all wanted to comply with it. Not for me. See ya, weirdo!
SPOILER I read this because the reviews were very good as it was free, but honestly I wouldn't have finished it if I weren't OCD. It had great potential with extraordinary details in the sex scenes, but frankly it lacked much of a story line. A woman catches her boss's girlfriend in the throws of passion with another man and can't help but to tell her boss, who she is very attracted to. Her boss's relationship end and they begin to "see" each other if you can call it that. So, this isn't a book to read for the story line, but if you want to get your blood pumping to you pelvic area, it's perfect.
Interesting, but short, story on the value of truth in a relationship.
It was difficult to like any of the characters. Ruby's just awful (but honest in her own skanky way), Clay's very hot, but does any guy really like 'sloppy seconds' that much? Jessica at times seems vaguely pathetic, but I do admire her for leaving the company rather that staying while becoming involved with Clay.
The sex is scorching hot, and I will read the next installment, but it's a challenge to empathize with these characters.
This was a download after Bookbub sent an email with this as one of the recommendations. To be honest was not my cup of tea and not a good recommendation for me at all.
I didn't like the basis of the story and the characters were just not well written or believable. I am sure there are some men just like Clay but the execution of the whole story line was not done well - I don't think personally - and I only carried on reading as I am a sucker and very rarely not finish a book.
I am pretty certain I will not be carrying on with this series, so not for me - 2/5
Not a typical erotica romance, with a typical HEA. There is a HEA, and the journey there is interesting. One major plot point is about the kink Hotwifing, where the wife/girlfriend/partner has sex (or similar) with other men, and the husband/boyfriend either watches or hears about it, etc. It’s an interesting kink. (And pretty hot, if you let go of your instinctual biases.) I felt like some of the characters were too one-dimensional. Overall though, I enjoyed the story. I’m definitely going to read more in this series.
Not quite what I was expecting but interesting enough to continue. Sick and twisted is how best to describe this one. The working relationship between Clay, Ruby and Jessica was a hot mess! The gossip about Clay and Ruby's relationship at Westcoast really sums up the entire story in a sentence. I thought Jessica was the "normal" one...not so much. An eye opener for sure about a phenomenon I knew nothing about!
Though I was hesitant to read this book and start this series because of the premise (condoned cheating) I'm glad I read it because Ms. Hayes tackled the issue in a great way. I got my HEA and it was a steamy hot book. The sex scenes were imaginative and beautifully written while at the same time they were bold and straight to the point! I really enjoyed this first in the series and have already started the second one, in which (secondary) characters from this book form the main couple.
I got thru it which is about all I can say that is good about this book. The little blurb that I read sounded ok and I figured it would be a quick read that wasn't terrible.... That turned out not to be the case. The characters kept totally getting on my nerves and the plot wasn't enough to keep that from bothering me
This book just wasn't my cup of tea. The characters, the story... none of it really appealed to me. The writing was decent though so at least there was that. I imagine that there are quite a few people who would enjoy this book, but unfortunately I wasn't one of them.
NOTE: I won a free copy of this book through Goodreads' giveaway program. The opinions in this review are completely my own.
The writing was clean and fast-paced. The story grabbed my attention and didn't let go. The sex was hot. Revenge Sex introduced me to a whole new aspect of erotica, hotwifing. So, so fun. I'll be watching for more from Jasmine Haynes.
Sorry, but just got to say that was lame as. There was nothing, just a total disconnect on soooo many levels. Thank goodness I didn't pay (Amazon freebie) for that one! That's a couple of hours I won't unfortunately be getting back. :(
Never heard of this kink...can't say I get it but Ruby was not the woman for Clay....I really like Jessica and Clay...for Jessica:it was all about Clay and feeding his desire...that should be any motivation for connection.
Don't get me wrong the book was good but I don't share. Some scenes for me weren't entirely plausible, they would only work in my mind in a book or movie which took away from it for me.
