Eaten by Evil: Human Trafficking to Prostitution - Revenge Horror

Rate this book
Sally is dragged into a world of sex and drugs, too young to know what she’s doing, in too quickly to get back out.

Her boyfriend abuses her.
Taken by another.
Sold on for Heroin.
Prostituting herself.
Finally on film.

She’s gotten as far down and dirty as she thinks she can. Reached rock bottom. But Niklaus knows of one further level. Somewhere she’s never even thought of.

Stepping there may well be the very end of her.

Eaten by Evil is a shocking and depraved journey into the underbelly of British drug culture, where one young girl is pushed to the edge and has to choose between fighting back … or dying.

3.5 stars. I really enjoyed the style of quality of Ash Ericmore's writing here. It carried the story to a much higher place than it was. Sally, our lead, is a tragic character and there was a good dive into her psyche. Fighting off abuse, substance abuse, codependent relationships, and all sorts of other variables, she does what's needed to preserve herself, at any expense. Now, as with every Ash Ericmore book, this is not for the faint of heart or squeamish types. Lots of troubling and intense content within. Now, the overall story was good, but the pacing was too quick and it all ended a bit abruptly. I liked everything in here, but just wanted more time with Sally and her evolving violent tendencies. Despite some flaws, still a good read for any extreme horror nuts like me out there.

Very Sad 😢
Tearfully Upsetting 😭
Extremely Shocking 😲
Totally Distressing 😨
And Traumatising 🫨

I think this book should be a compulsory read for any teenage girl who is tempted to take any kind of recreational or hard drug.💉

Sally was young, naïve, and tempted...she went to hell and back just for a fix, when she nearly lost her life in the hands of a snuff film maker, the revenge set in...then the nasty games began!!

A well written story which drew me in right from the start.

People, how is this book not talked about A LOT??? Sure, this is far from being the bloodiest and goriest book I've ever read, but I DON'T CARE. This story broke my heart. And omg, THAT ENDING.

Sally loves Trevor, Trevor loves power. When he gets Sally addicted to heroin at 14 years old, her life completely falls apart. She subjects herself to desperate acts and is manipulated into trusting the wrong people for the high.  When she is forced into fight or flight, everything will come down to how much she wants to live for that next high.

EATEN BY EVIL is completely different than what I am used to reading from Ericmore. Gone is the dark humor we see in the Alex Cole series and can I be brutally honest? I love this side of Ericmore’s writing with the  more realistic, gritty, and raw storytelling that he is showing he can excel at. I love his humor, I mean, I’m a bit in love with Alex Cole but the depth of desperation and depressing characters are stunning to read.

A HIGHLY RECOMMEND 10/5.

I had high hopes for this book. But now I've finished I'm convinced I missed chapters....

The ending was a massive let down.

I do quite enjoy a good horror book. I liked this one was short and straight to the point - however for those who aren’t used to horror check TWs as 100% underage stuff going on

Ash Ericmore delivers again, this time with a disturbing and depraved tale of the quick, downward spiral of drug addiction. He set aside the dark humor that usually colors his work for a more serious tone this time, but the subject called for it. The “usual” trigger warnings feel different here as “Eaten By Evil” is a completely believable story full of all the violence and brutality we’ve come to expect from Ericmore.

Sally is drawn in by a predator so easily that she never sees the snare until it’s far too late. The older “boyfriend” is such a welcome escape from her “too controlling” father. He gives her what she craves. From vodka to weed to sex to heroin… Too young to understand and hooked before she can think of the consequences. And once that hook is set, she won’t care so much for consequences.

“What will you do for this?”

- “Whatever you want.”

The hook is in too deep for young Sally to consider the next one offering a hit might want something… more. Something beyond what she’s traded for H before.

Follow her down the twisted spiral where the only time that matters is the lull between hits. Who has the next hit for her? What does this one want? How much of the drug can he provide? She never thinks to ask herself if she’ll live to reach that next high. Only the next hit matters.

brilliant

Easily one of Ash’s best books. This was gritty and real. Human trafficking is terrifying and Ash made sure you feel all of Sally’s emotions.

Heartbreaking

This is a good read. A sad tale of how evil comes and can take over a life so easily. Then ruin it in a matter of a few days. It's fast paced and an easy read, that you can get right into and feel the heartbreak of such innocence. But be proud of the strength and courage she has, even though that wasn't always the case. Loved the characters, some strong some meek. The insight into how this happens and awareness it gives is my favourite part. Recommended fully!

3.5 rounded up.
While the content was difficult to read, I really enjoyed this story of revenge.
Sally meets a boy and is led down a path of chaos and destruction.
Her innocence and vulnerability is exploited until something snaps in her.
I enjoyed how the book was broken up, with chapters designated to each character. It made it easier to get lost in the story.

This book was ICKY in the best way. 14 year old Sally leads a hard life. Her dad is OTT her older boyfriend isn’t great to her. She ends up addicted to drugs and in a compromising position of doing ANYTHING to have more. Fast paced, gritty and downright wrong. Excellent read!

It was intense, I read it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down. It has some script conveniences but nothing that tarnishes the sweet revenge.

‼️SPOILERS‼️

5/5 ⭐️
5/5🔥

My absolute favorite genre of horror books is REVENGE! Boy oh boy did this book give us some good ole fashion revenge.

Sally was manipulated and turned into an addict. Her “boyfriend” then gets tired of her and sells her to some pimp. The pimp uses her for a good while and eventually decides to sell her to a man who seems of some importance.

As Sally goes with the 2nd man she’s been sold to as property she thinks she is doing a porno. After the movie starts she quickly realizes that this isn’t your average porn movie. This is a snuff film and unless she thinks of something quick Sally realizes she will die.

She ends up getting out of the situation and starts murdering everyone that has ever had anything to do with her demise into addiction and prostitution.

Sally is a badass and I was so happy to see her get revenge on everyone that ever did her wrong.

My review will be for the eBook.
I haven't read any books by this author before, but I want to read at least one Extreme Horror or Splatterpunk book by various authors to determines which authors I like and the style of writing I like for these types of books.

Trevor seems like a sleazy, impatient narcissist, with sinister intentions he also seems like he would be exploitative of his girlfriend Sally.
The author doesn't specify how old Trevor or Sally are, but Sally seems young, innocent and impressionable, especially due to having a curfew & a overprotective father.
Trevor seems like he is a bit older than Sally since he can buy alcohol so he seems like he is a adult I would say about 26 years old and Sally seems like she is about 16 or slightly younger, Trevor keeps calling Sally a kid which is creepy.
Trevor has already attempted to have sex with Sally and it seems like someone spiked her drink, while she was at the pub with her boyfriend Trevor.
He seems like the type of person that would be a human-trafficker, a rapist, a drug dealer, or the type of person that would make pornography, possibly pornography with underage girls that he deceived, love bombed, coerced, manipulated, drugged/raped.
DNF I don't like that this book is about a peadophile grooming a teenager, or other children of various ages only hanging around children so he can get what they want from them.
I don't want to read anymore of it, i'm not in anyway judging the author for what they write about, I might like some of their other books, but this book just isn't for me.
I don't want to read about fictional peadophiles, that groom children, teeangers, teach them about sex, or how to be sexual, I don't want to know about their vile, sick fantasies about sexually molesting or raping babies/children of various ages either 🤢🤢🤢😖
It makes me feel physically sick, disgusted because I have a dark, vivid imagination, so I can't read anymore of this book, sorry 🚫🚩🤢

i had to push myself to read through this and the ending was actually satisfying! i think it’s needless to say i just wanted the main character and victim of the story, sally, to be okay and be reunited with her father.

books like this aren’t really my cup of tea. it was incredibly graphic (which i can usually stomach) and i wasn’t expecting sally to be underage (she was fourteen?!) so that really set me off, but hey, i got the book and whenever i start a book i feel like i’m obligated to finish it. i completely draw the line at underage victims as it can be triggering for me and makes me incredibly uncomfortable, but but the writer did a decent job at portraying the horrors of what victims of sex and drug trafficking have to go through, though sadly many victims don’t get the justice they deserve like sally did.

i didn’t exactly like the way the book was written. it honestly felt like i was reading a wattpad fanfic at times.

overall, i give this book 2 stars.

Revenge served with a side of bleach

I wasn't sure I would like this. There I felt a lot of sadness for the main character, Sally. I didn't understand how the title made sense...until it made sense. Do you need a little revenge p*rn to snack on? This book. This is what you need in your life. I just admit the set up to the spree seemed like a forever taking spiral. The pay off is there. Just keep going. This is a quick read so you don't have to wait too long. But I will warn you there is heavy drug use and I'm going to say a lot of nonconsensual sex by addiction proxy. That said, I really enjoyed this story.

Good read

He’d pulled the tobacco from the fag and lined it up in the construct of paper, sprinkled the gently warmed brown into it, and sealed it all up. He was holding it up like a prize, and admiring it. Perfectly straight. Used a little of the paper packet as a roach in the end. Didn’t believe in buying filters. They just took out half the good stuff.

Absolutely heartbreaking.

The narrative distance forces you to watch while Sally is passed from manipulator to manipulator; her shell disintegrating in every page turn. Revenge, while sweet, does not remove the abject suffering that dominates your emotions.

Lots of TW - read the synopsis and don’t go in blind.

What a ride. I enjoyed this read from start to finish, it felt so gritty and raw and real. My only criticism would be that I wanted a little more character development, I felt it would have been perfect as a longer book with more detail and I wouldn’t have gotten bored.

WOW

Messy. But that is an unfortunate part of the drug life. Only gave 4 stars because of some editing flaws. I had to reread some parts to understand. Could be just my senior moments.

I wanted to enjoy this, but it was meh to me.
It contained dark themes, but I wouldn't classify this as extreme horror. It also took way too long before it got interesting.

Eh

I didn’t fully enjoy this book and get into it until the middle. It took longer for me to read compared to other short horror/splatterpunk books I’ve read.
