Anya has a crush on Hunter but she thinks he doesn’t like her. Hunter actually thinks she’s beautiful and fun but works for her brother so he avoids her. When Anya starts getting notes in her door with a knife stuck in it her brother has Hunter stay with her. The sexual tension is thick but they’re both fighting it but one night they both loose that fight. They both have past issues they are fighting. Can they be together and find out who is stalking Anya ? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing book. Love Anya and Hunter great supporting characters. I couldn’t put this book down love the suspense and spice

When I found out that J.J. was going to be putting Hunter together with Alec's sister, Anya, I was ready for it right then and there. Hunter has always intrigued me due to his silent and withdrawn ways. He is always around but yet on the outer edges of what is going on unless on a mission. Ever since Anya moved to town he became even more withdrawn and now I know why. I felt so bad for him because he wants her so much yet values his friendship and job with Alec at the same time. Try as he might....he isn't as strong as he thinks he is.
Poor Anya, she is going through life thinking that Hunter cannot stand her and then he gets placed as her guard when she finds out she has a stalker. Anya, this strong and confident woman who rules the courtroom as an attorney gets all tongue tied when around Hunter. She deserves love and happiness just as much as he does.
These two together...oh my gosh I loved it. Watching Hunter battle within himself between his head and his heart and then finally giving in. I mean talk about jealous and possessive from the get go.....swoon! I loved how Hunter came to terms that no matter what Anya was in his life to stay even if Alec didn't get on board with their relationship. It is not an easy beginning for them and I liked that because it just proves how strongly they do feel about each other. Then the moment comes that Alec finds out about them, talk about bad timing.
J.J. placing these two together is perfection. Anya is not some damsel in distress and isn't afraid to take charge. Hunter doesn't mind letting her but also reminds her who she belongs to and I love that about them. The fierceness that he loves her with is intense. Watching him take absolute 100% full control of his life back at the end made my heart so happy for him and the life he will now be able to build with Anya. Next up.....Collins!!!

This series just continues to get better and better! Anya and Hunter (Sebastian) are fire! You will find out where the name Sebastian comes from in this book. This book is not only a page turner, but it it just flows so well. Anya has a crush on Hunter and he tries to fight the fact he likes her also. She’s his boss’s sister none the less. Well, Anya has a stalker and who does her brother put to protect her-Hunter. This stalker does a good job of covering his tracks, even with cameras at Anya’s apartment and work. Wait til you find out who the stalker is! Anya also has a creepy neighbor whom Hunter isn’t too fond of. Will a growing attraction between the two become something? Their chemistry surely seems that way. Hunter also has a challenge in his life also-his mom. She’s really not the all American mom. You will see how their relationship is as the story goes on. In the end, will Anya’s brother find out about her and Hunter? If he does, how will he react? Can he just let her be with whom she wants to? I definitely was rooting for Anya and Hunter the whole way through.

I've loved everything that JJ has written and she knows that. Haha but I think this one by far is my favorite in the huge away series. I'm in love with them.
The tension they have in the beginning when he has to 'babysit' her..I love it, and when they are sitting on the couch eating dinner and he just says go to bed..I laughed because she just didn't know how to react and did what she was told to do. She knew it wasn't a request, it was a demand. 😍
The awkwardness between them in the beginning..I'm obsessed. I loved reading it all unfold.
The first time they are finally together was everything and more that I needed to read. The spice level was off the charts.
She takes a broken man and heals him and reading it as it all unfolded was perfect. They are perfect for each other.
I love them, I need more of them. 😍💜

OK so I have been waiting for Hunter's book since I started reading the Dark Matter Security series and it did not disappoint. Hunter is, in essence THE perfect book boyfriend (minus the wings if you're a romantasy reader)! He has the gravelly voice, the longer hair, the touch her and die vibe, the I'm not good enough vibe, and the strong silent protector to boot. The amount of drama and action that gets packed into these books alongside the spice is insane and I commend the author for it! The plot is always on point and never gets taken away from. I love how they are all about different members of the team and how they are all entwined together.

Great read I have always been curious about Hunter a quiet, broody, giant. And Anya sassy, witty, smart woman. She is so relatable I love that she loves sweets she is a woman after my own heart. They are so good together and I love the sense of forbiddenness because she is Alec’s sister. I like the storyline you get to learn so much of why Hunter is the way he is. He is such a good character. The spice was good and the angst of build up was yummy. Enjoyed this read these Dark Matter men and there woman just keep getting better and better can wait to read Collins!

After Anya leaves her cheating husband she builds up a wall. She is being stalked and Alec assigns Hunter to protect her. Their forced proximity leads to alot of tension that boils over especially he realizes her neighbor has a thing for her. They have undeniable chemistry which only fuels her stalker's anger. There is also the side story of Hunter and his mother. A good read with plenty to enjoy plus we get the side characters from previous books in the series.

Talk about possessive as well - I could swoon over Hunter’s possessiveness of Anya too! 😍😍😍 Before their relationship comes to fruition- Anya thinks Hunter hates her even though Hunter is really avoiding Anya because he definitely has some strong feelings towards her that are the complete opposite of hate.
Anya finds herself in a bit of trouble and while their relationship is building between the two of them - they both are afraid of what Alec may think or act. Will they finally come clean to Alec? And will Anya get out of the trouble she is in?

Another great book in the series. Medium spice level, mid level angst. Not my favourite of the series but with it being lighter than previous books it was a nice change of pace

Anya! I've been waiting for her story. Anya has a thing for Hunter. Hunter has a thing for Anya. The only problem is he works for her brother. They have to hide it for a bit but it all works out. Hunter is a quiet guy and loves his job and relationship with Anyas brother but he refuses to give Anya up. This wasnt my favorite of the series but I liked the story! It felt kind of rushed with a quick "I love you" when it hadn't been that long. Overall I enjoyed it.
