A novella from the male character's POV in Caged Moon.
Tormented by a repressed past, Liam is faced with the responsibility of raising, and taking care of a pack of younger, obnoxious ‘pups’. He’d do anything for them; guilt from prior mistakes, driving him to protect them at any cost. Until a strange human girl, bearing the scent of a wolf, throws his world into chaos. Instinct says she’s his mate. Logic says she’s a danger to the pack. Curiosity can’t keep him away.
Revisit the YA Paranormal Romance, Caged Moon, through an all new perspective.
Rachel grew up in small town Massachusetts where she spent most of her time writing about strange paranormal creatures instead of paying attention in class. She has always been considered the ‘dreamy’ one with her head in the clouds. She now lives in Nevada with her two sons, a cat, and a rat named Sam.
3.5 stars. Alpha Moon is Liam's version of the beginning of Charlotte and Liam's relationship. It begins to explain Liam and Aaron's relationship with their "father" and also the reasoning behind Liam's relentless "stalking" of Charlotte.
There are still many questions unanswered in regards to Aaron and Liam's relationship with each other and their "father" and I am hoping these are divulged throughout the series. I was a little disappointed that this novella only covered such a short period of time, although grateful the story was told at all - I always enjoy seeing things from the male POV - especially when that character is primarily a wolf!
This novella was a good extension of Caged Moon and I found it to be well written for the most part. It flowed reasonably well and left me waiting impatiently for Lunar Passing (due to be released later this year). I am looking forward to seeing how Rachel's writing develops, as I enjoy the direction this series is taking and I believe that there is plenty of scope to produce a fantastic follow on to Alpha Moon and Caged Moon.
First I recommend reading Caged Moon before this for the story to make sense. Ok Alpha Moon I absolutely loved reading. In fact I reread Caged Moon after I finished this story. Liam is just such a fascinating character and it was a treat to be able to see inside his head. My favorite part of this series is that he is still such a mystery and I can't wait to figure him all out and I do seriously hope we get more stories from Liam's POV.
it was nice to see Liam's point if view despite it being so short, I loved his story of being wolf then human even more from his point of view. I also loved his struggle with liking the "human" Charlotte. Overall another great book. I rated it 4 stars because it was so short and didn't really end off fully.
My only complaint was that it was too short. I loved getting into Liam's head and understanding his motives. Especially why he couldn't stay away from Charlotte. Seeing the pack on a more intimate level was great. And getting a small glimpse into his and Aaron's past as children was heartbreaking because you could only imagine. If you loved Caged Moon, you will LOVE this Novella. Can't wait for Lunar Passing!
Caged Moon was an awesome book!!! Alpha Moon is essentially a few passages in the book from Liam's point of view. I enjoyed them very much, but it wasn't new material. I can't wait for the sequel to come out for Caged Moon in the winter. This will tide you over, but it was no Caged Moon:)
Yep, things were definitely revealed. i understand the insta love now better but i still dont have to like it ;)...I did wish this book would have given more background knowledge though.
