Rate this book
For Katherine Marconi, an unassuming prosecutor in the L.A. District Attorney's Office, the countdown to 2012 really started in the 1980s when she learned that her brother, a new age guru, was murdered. Never did she expect that the investigation into his death would lead her into the world of enlightened beings, professional football, and a prophecy for the future of mankind.

Fairly remarkable little book, and Messers Fantle and Johnson ought to look back with pride on their accomplishment....the breadth and number of these celebrity interviews is mighty impressive. Most valuable (ironically) are their interviews with some of the more obscure figures: Harry Delmar, Benny Rubin, Georgie Jessel, Joe Smith....But one is fairly awestruck as well by the major figures they got talk to...too many to name really. My one criticism is that all the interviews are way too short. Whether that is a factor of the space limitation of their syndicated column, or whether they only get five minutes with each celebrity...I don't know. But we end up with a lot of ground covered...but not much unearthed. At any rate, a most enjoyable read for the lover of show business lore
