Kaitlyn Olive Rose is a college sophomore who not only is an only child, but lost her parents to a drunk driver. Missing her old house in the country where she use to live prior to their death, Kaitlyn decides to leave the dorms for a day and take a trip up to her old home.
As she arrives, the clouds turn purple and thunder sounds of a steady rumble. The new owners of the house invite her into the basement, until the storm passes, but only Kaitlyn makes it out alive. Strange buildings are erected, no one speaks her language, and spaceships fill the night sky.
Alone I Walk follows her journey to find the truth, focusing on the conversation between Kaitlyn and a man who claims he is from a distant galaxy. Is it all a dream, or has life from another planet found their way to Earth?
This coming of age novella, written in the point of view of Kaitlyn shows that even in the worst case scenario, good can come out of it; and even a family.
Alone I Walk is a parallel short story to a forthcoming series, but can be read as a stand alone title..

WOW!!! This novella is amazing! It is a must read for sci-fi lovers! Once you start reading, you cannot stop until the end...and you still want it to continue! Very creative, thought provoking and inspiring! Very well done!
I knew this was going to be a special book when it arrived. I have never received a book more carefully packaged. I knew the care taken when shipping it to me did not hold a candle to the care taken when the novella was written. I look forward to more great books from this author! Julie Wenzel, you have a new fan here.
I was very intrigued by this book from the beginning. The plot as a whole kept me in suspense and I thought it was a very well-written book. I enjoyed reading it and had to remind myself that it was all constructed from a series of recurring dreams rather than actual life events. It felt real and allowed me to envision what it would be like to live in an alternate world.
