These six CDs contain a series of Wayne Dyer’s lectures, all of which are enjoyable, and many of which include a lot of anecdotes from his personal life.. The theme of every lecture is that life is first, foremost, and always all about love. Dyer includes lots of feel-good stories about healing and miracles wrought by love. A particularly moving tale is the true story of Barry Kaufman, who, with his family, was able to bring his autistic toddler son back to a normal life. (The story is described in Kaufman’s book Son Rise). A particularly powerful portion of the lectures is Dyer’s account of his own recovery from leukemia through a long-distance “healing” by a guru named John of God in Brazil. Some of this is, frankly, what most of us would call a little woo-woo. But if Dr. Dyer says he was cured of leukemia while in Hawaii by a long-distance healer in Brazil (and if his expensive watch shatters and stops working because of the energies that surrounded it as well as his body), and if he ended up cancer free, who am I to be cynical about the whole thing? There are several guided meditations included at the end of some of the lectures, which I particularly appreciate.
