As the title indicates, this is a photo album, so not really much of a read. It is an album of the work of Luscious Beebe, of course, arguably the best portrait artist of mid-20th century American railroading. So in that respect, it's a pretty awesome collection. The portrait captions, however, are really thin and provide only the most basic information. I'd have preferred more background on the train and railroad pictured. Come to that, it would have been nice to have some of Beebe's personal story somewhere in the book, too. But as it is, these are some great photos and a fine sampling of Beebe's work.
