My little prima ballerina, as she calls herself, really loves Mia and she really LOVES stickers so this book is a win win! Especially because she does not yet really know about St. Valentine's day this book is a great introduction and the fun commercial holiday. (We'll add in some other books about the holy day when we find them...) Fun with friends but also a great lesson. Mia just assumed a box of valentine chocolates was fair gain and reading this story gives a conversation starter for asking permission and such. However all is not lost as Mia and Mr. Cat save the day with some creativity and ballet for Mrs. Cat's Valentine's Day.

I am actually surprised I didn't like this book that much. Maybe because I was reading it for my son and he clearly didn't enjoy it. All that pink, pretty dresses and tiaras. There is chocolate and a small party too but my son doesn't like either of those.

In this book Mia and her friends eat the chocolates meant for her mother. Mia then has to think of something new to give to her mom. What she came up with wasn't something that I thought of at all.

Another fun book by this author! It also includes a page of stickers and a heart template to use along with the story--perfect for Valentine's Day. Mia the cat always seems to get in a pickle, but it turns out ok this time, thanks to the help of her father. Nicely illustrated!

I received a complimentary copy in exchange for my opinion.

My kid happens to love girly pink trinkets and dressing up. We got this because it is close to Valentine's Day. Very cute overall. My daughter loved it and has new ideas for gifts.
