Rate this book
Contains sensitive material. Mature audienced recommended.

Whatever It Takes is a collection of true stories of courage and hope, as told by Rabbi Shea Hecht, a communal leader for forty years in the Crown Heights community of Brooklyn, New York. Rabbi Shea grew up under the tutelage of his eminent father, Rabbi J.J. Hecht, OBM, translator and spokesman for the Lubavitcher Rebbe, ZY”A, and advocate for the Jewish community in New York City and state governments. As a community rabbi, Shea Hecht has seen it all, from glory to disaster and back again to greater glory. Now, he has put his experiences into book form. Whatever It Takes is storytelling at its most poignant and powerful.

What a gem of a book! A collection of short, heartfelt and captivating stories of all kinds, mostly from Rabbi Hecht’s life experience. The book is true to its subtitle, it does restore hope!
Wonderful read! Like a comforting drink of hot cocoa on a cold day.

This was a nice easy read. Definitely not as good as his first book. Didn’t live it but didn’t hate it either. Vanilla with some sprinkles.

I liked this book a lot. It was a page turner and easy to read. I got a lot out of it.

The only thing is I wish he had a glossary for all of the religious words and terms he used.
