I thoroughly enjoyed this book, purchased at the Biscayne NP bookstore, upon a recommendation from the guide who took three of us out to Elliott Key on a sailing/snorkeling outing. A couple lived on Elliott Key in early 1930’s, and this was the story of how they lived, got their food, improved their dwelling, maintained a lime orchard, and became familiar with booze runners during prohibition. A hurricane struck n 1935 and destroyed their house, forcing them to leave. Fascinating.
