There’s a healthy amount of information on different ways to utilize runes that make sense, and that I have not seen in other books.

While this doesn’t seem to have anything about reading the runes as a divinatory device, there is a good dictionary of meanings for each letter. The author also added his numeric and color associations, so that you can use runes with numerology if you wished, but that oils be the subject for another book. Interestingly, the numbers are assigned on a mod 8 system. So, if you had something else telling you how to read the runes, you could use this book to add on to that knowledge.

Instead, the author uses runes as a focal point for meditation, astral projection an the like. However, the part I liked the best was the explanation of how to make a personalized sigil by combining several runes together, just as you would with letters in English or any other language.

You really do need some background in meditation and astral projection to use this book, in my opinion, unless you are someone who just loves runes and want to first learn these skills utilizing this way in.

I haven’t decided what to do with this book; keep or sell it. On one hand, the dictionary type information is really helpful. Plus, I don’t have another book on runes that goes into such details right now. On the other hand, this almost goes into too much detail for things I don’t need, and not enough for things I might use this for (I.e. numerology).

This is an undeniably informative, if not always exciting to read, book on the subject of runes. The author spares no detail in using runes in one's magical practice, which sometimes means it reads like an instruction manual. The section on astral projection, wherein the author shares personal experience, is intriguing.
Though maybe not entirely fun to read from cover to cover, this is definitely a handy reference to have for using runes.
