Saturn Returns~ The Private Papers of a Reluctant Astrologer

Rate this book
The "Saturn Return" is an astrological phrase describing two profoundly transformative periods in everyone life. The first happens near the age of 29, and second, near the age of 59. This book is both fiction and non-fiction: the first section is a novel about a woman astrologer in her second Saturn Return and the reader "learns" astrology through Isabelle's journey through sacred sites in England and the United States. The second section is where the reader can look up how Saturn is influencing them, and read about their unique Saturn placement in their life and astrology chart.

I'm a counseling astrologer and writer, with a master's degree in psychology with an emphasis in the work of Carl Jung. I have published 3 books of poetry, (www.elizabethspringpoetry.com) a memoir,"Synchronicity", a novel, and 4 books on astrology which you can read about here: www.northnodeastrology.com

My first book, "North Node Astrology: Rediscovering Your Life Direction and Soul Purpose" is available on www.AMAZON.com and has a Look Inside the Book feature, as well as many reviews. Come take a look!

My new book, the memoir: Synchronicity, is the intertwined memoirs of two women, Annie Besant and the author, Elizabeth Spring. Elizabeth unexpectedly came upon a little biography of Annie, a passionate social activist for the 'Match Girls 'in England and for women's right to birth control--- and found that her astrology chart, and Annie's, were uncannily similar: they were born exactly 100 years apart--Oct 1, 1847 at 5:39 pm and Oct 1, 1947, at 5:34 pm.

This was the beginning of the synchronicities that radically changed Elizabeth's life.

"Saturn Returns: The Private Papers of a Reluctant Astrologer" An unusual combination of fiction and non-fiction--a story of the unusual life and lessons of a professional astrologer. Reviews and Look inside the book feature on amazon.com

This is a cross-genre book, being half fictionalized memoir, and half reference book for you to understand Saturn and the Saturn Returns in your astrology chart.(The reviews of it are on amazon.com where it is available in paperback and Kindle.)
This is a story of an astrologer, Isabelle CoCroft, who is rather fearfully going through her Second Saturn Return at the age of 59, and yet mentoring a young woman--though email letters-- who is going through her first Saturn Return at age 29.
The reader follows Isabelle's journey from her Victorian 'office' on Beacon Hill in Boston, to Lindisfarne and through sacred sites in Europe, where she attempts to save the life of her daughter and her disintegrating marriage. Issues of fate, destiny, and astrological prediction emerge and clash. How do we find and refind ourselves and those we love? What is fate and what is destiny? Are astrological predictions useful? This book "Saturn Returns~The Private Papers of A Reluctant Astrologer" by Elizabeth Spring is on one hand the story of a family torn apart and coming back together again, and an exploration into poignant transitional times in our lives.
