Review on webtoon "The Sound of Magic: Annarasumanara" by Ilkwon Ha (episode 2) - I really enjoyed reading it. Also, the reader can notice that the female lead Yun Ai doesn't interact much with others and how she has to make her own purchasing choice. I'm looking forward to read more episodes.

I understand the translators just went with the character they saw (ㄹ) but ri-eul would have been just as valid a translation and it even sounds like a name. R sounds... I mean... why. anyways I got nothing to say about this volume besides. obvious middle slump is on obvious but I did enjoy the dramatic turn near the end.

Akhirnya Yoon Ah-ee memutuskan untuk menerima tawaran Na Il-Deung untuk mengalah dalam tes. Sementara itu, Na Il-Deung yang sudah suka sama Yoon Ah-ee memutuskan mengikuti Yoon Ah-ee ke theme park. Yoon Ah-ee ahirnya mau menerima pelajaran magic dari si magician.

Setelah mengetahui kalau Yoon Ah-ee suka magic, Na Il-Deung mulai kepikiran kalau dia bisa magic, pasti Yoon Ah-ee bakal suka sama dia. Akhirnya diam-diam Na Il-Deung buka2 situs tentang magic dan bolos kursus buat ketemu sama si magician. Ortu Na Il-Deung marah banget pas tau, mereka ingin Na Il-Deung seperti ayahnya yang jadi pengacara, jadi intinya masa depan dan hidup Na Il-Deung sudah ditentukan, dia hanya harus belajar terus, kuliah, kerja dan jadi orang sukses. Suatu hari, Na Il-Deung yang hampir tiap hari ke tempat si magician tapi gak berani buat nyapa akhirnya ketemu sama si magician, tapi si magician ini bilang kalau Na Il-Deung kayak berjalan di jalan aspal yang dingin dan panjang. setelah itu, Na Il-Deung mulai memikirkan situasinya dan merasa kalau si magician benar.

Sementara itu, nama magician yang misterius ini adalah R, dan meskipun dia kelihatannya hanya pake trik2 biasa, tapi R ini sering juga melakukan magic beneran,kayak nurunin salju,munculin kupu2.

Ayah Yoon Ah-ee muncul tapi kabur lagi setelah kedatangan rentenir, dan di sini ketahuan kalau ibu Yoon Ah-ee pergi karena gak tahan sama kehidupan mereka.

Di sini Na Il-Deung mulai menyadari kesalahan cara hidupnya dan Yoon Ah-ee mulai percaya ke R.

"Do you believe in magic?"

This is a beautiful and magical Korean Manhwa(manga), displaying the stereotypical world we live in and how reality and dreams are two vastly different things. We live inside the walls of our society and stepping out means you have brought misery to yourself. Society pressures us to the extent of going crazy and then laugh at us. In this series, three characters, a magician and two high schoolers will take you on a rollercoaster ride of reality and dream. After reading this manga your perspective will surely change, I know mine is. It surely is beautiful and magical.

I'm hoping this turns into a movie someday. Or an anime. Because the art is so unique, clear and magical. If someday it becomes an anime, it should definitely follow the pattern of black and white with few touches of color. The use of color is where it's most needed and I like that about this series. I truly hope and thank the Mangaka(Author) to make such beautiful books and artwork.
I got the Alice in the Wonderland vibe throughout this series.
