Gabriella gave Devon the best years of her life and now he wants to discard her, their daughter, and their marriage like it didn't exist. She loses it all. She's devastated. She's pissed off, and doesn't have a clue about how to reignite her life.
In order to make ends meet she opens a daycare center in her old neighborhood. The same neighborhood she tried to escape. Things are slow to say the least, and one suspicious disaster after another impedes her success. She is slow to confess it, but she is lonely and her daughter and the center fail to provide her with what she needs. That all changes when Matthew Savant walks into her life, and she soon realizes that he is the only man who can fill the empty space in her heart and her bed.
Matthew Savant has ended his relationship with long-time girlfriend Holly and is finally the public relations entrepreneur he wants to be. He is tired of all the secrets, games, and drama women bring to his table. So why does God see fit to bring Gabriella into his life? Not only is she married, but she is full of all of that drama he is trying to avoid. He will concede. She is beautiful, smart, and talented. But is he willing to put his life on hold and help her reclaim the life she deserves?
All of that is irrelevant if Devon has anything to say about it. He is back with some crazy drama of his own and nothing is going to stop him from getting his family back.
Soul Custody is a romantic drama filled with the crazy twists and turns that come along with love and betrayal. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and have you dying to know what happens next!

Libra Rajani was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She is married and has three sons.
Her name is a combination of who she is. Libra; one seeking balance, the good, the light; Rajani; the dark side, night, and in Libra's words, "speaking from deep within my soul!"
Although she attended the University of Illinois and majored in psychology, writing and inspiring women has always been her passion.
This was the first book I have read by this author, however like many of the other reviewer, the caught me from the first page. I liked the friendship between Gabby and Tanya. Matthew was a hero and he had to be the most patient man ever!! Yes Gabby got on my nerves with her wishy-washy attitude and overly trusting spirit. Devon and Regina were the perfect mixed of delusional and straight up crazy. Now some of the legal advice Gabby was given was definitely questionable, probably because I understand the legal system regarding divorce and family law pretty well. It's okay, because I figured the Author took creative license in the matters to help the story. There were also things that Gabby didn't know about her relationship, which gave me pause about her social maturity. In this day and age women can not afford to be as naive as she was, however again I believe this was creative license on the Author's part, which is okay. It just had me thinking.."Was this chick born under a rock or just totally lacking in common sense". There were times I wanted to shake Gabby until her teeth rattled, because she was so stuck of stupid. Overall I thought it was a good story and I thoroughly enjoy it. Can't wait to read the second book, as a matter of fact I'm starting it today. What I think I liked most is how quickly it held my attention. Lately, with everything I have going on, it takes me days to read a book. This book only took me a day and a half to read and to me that is a sign of a really good book. Once I started reading it, I had a hard time putting it. Good Job and great start!
This is the first time I have read anything from this author but it will not be my last. Soul Custody is a heart warming story about a mother who struggles to provide for her child when her no good husband leaves her and their daughter without a dime to their name. When Gabriella finally gets back on her feet and things are starting to look up, her husband Devon comes back into her life. This book is full of surprises and a whole lot of twists that will leave you with your mouth open. You know a book is good when you find yourself upset and wanting to kill the characters in the book. I give this book four stars only because of the editing. The story itself deserves five stars! Excellent job Libra Rajani. I look forward to reading the next novel from this author.
I was immediately pulled into Gabriella's plight and her sense of helplessness right from the beginning. I couldn't help but to root for her and loved the way Ms. Rajani developed her further. This book could be a cautionary tale as well of encouragement to women who may have been totally dependent on a husband only to find themselves in a change of circumstances beyond their control. This book is a feel-good book and I love the way Gabriella pulls her life together again in the end. Very good story!!!
I loved this story. This woman was a little native; a woman in love. Her husband brought her back to reality quick. Luckily, she was a strong woman and held her own and won in the end. I would read more from this author. I did not find any errors.
I tried to like this book, but just couldn't get into it. The writing style just did not flow well, and seemed a bit elementary at times, especially the way Gabriella described her feminine areas, I almost thought I was reading a teen novel. The storyline had potential, but it just fell flat to me. It seemed like things were moving along very quickly in Gabriella's life with little explanation of the how she got to each point. First she was abandoned by her husband, then she loses her home, decides to go back to school, gets her masters, opens a daycare all in a matter of pages. Everything happened so quickly that I surely thought I missed something. The relationship between Gabriella and Matthew just had no real development. She was in love with him after barely even going on a date. I don't know if something was cut out, or if this was how it was supposed to be, but their relationship was just not believable to me. The whole Regina angle, I really saw that one coming very early on in the book. Her role in everything was really not much of a surprise.
I think this author has potential, but can use a bit of work. This book definitely needs another read through to correct the many typo's I came across. She clearly had a good idea here, but the execution was just lacking. The love between the main characters needs a lot more description. Instead of just saying they are in love, I'd like to know how they got there first. With this being said, I would give this author another chance to see if the writing style improves.
