Very informative. Learned a lot regarding the Crusades (First one succeeded in liberating Jerusalem but eventually all 8 of them failed.) and the pointless loss of thousands of lives as well as the racism and religious intolerance that fueled them. The invasions of Rome by numerous attackers. (Vandals, Visigoths, Lombards, Huns and Ostrogoths.) Charlemagne's Reign and aftermath of his death. The Viking invasions and yes the Miniseries 'Vikings' depictions are comparable especially Rolo but surprisingly King Harald was a bigger figure than the series depicted. The Rus were forced out of Sweden and down the Volga where they established the Russian Empire. William the Conqueror, Richard the Lionheart and his battles with Saladin. Reconciliation with his brother Prince John and supposed meeting Robin of Loxley and finally his death from a crossbow bolt injury. Jacques Coeur one of the first Power Magnates rivaling Royalty. Joan of Arc (d'Arc) and her rise to oppose the English in France but eventually betrayed by King Charles VII. Her capture and sale to the English then burned at the stake as a Heretic. The Hansards and their power over Europe and parts of Russia comparable to the Teutonic Knights and the Knights Templar (Freemasons).
