Getaway

Rate this book
After Portland Police Officer, Shelley Newland, is involved in a shooting while on the job, she decides to head to the Oregon Coast to clear her head. Rather than stay in a hotel, she opts to take her parents’ old Terry trailer. She’s sentimental about it, despite the fact that it’s falling down around her.

At the RV park, she meets handsome Portland Police Detective, Jake Castle, who has some things to work out in his own life. She’s also befriended by a group of senior citizens who are determined to help both her and Jake work through their problems.

When the two begin to have feelings for one another, can Jake convince Shelley his love for her is the real deal? Or will circumstances in Shelley’s life cause her to push him away?

Rosemarie Naramore's fondest desire has always been to write fiction. She was delighted when her first romance novel, "Just in Time," was published by Avalon Books. She went on to write three other lighthearted romances for Avalon--"Armed and Disarming," "The Detour," and "Lacey's Homecoming," as well as a mystery entitled "The Listing Agent." When Amazon acquired Avalon in 2012, her second mystery/police procedural, "Deputy Down," was published under the Thomas & Mercer imprint. She is pleased that her romance novels have been released by Amazon under their Montlake imprint.

Another great book by this author with interesting and likeable characters, good plot and writting style.
From the description I expected a plain romane which was a reason why I needed that long to read it but it has enough of suspense as well to make it even more appealing to me. There were one or two plot parts not entirely resolved and a few times I thought 'please, get real!' but all in all it was a very good book I plan to re-read.

Again Rosemarie Naramore gives us true characters that you fall in love with and creates an adventure that can't be put down. I enjoyed the character development and the relationship that develops between the hero and heroine. Rosemarie also keeps it clean, but that doesn't decrease the action or pull of the book.

Nice, light, bedtime reading. The classic question, will the girl get boy? And some bad guys to. Actually called "bad guys", wich I thought was kind of funny :) The book could use another going-over by an editor, as there are quite a few typos. Nothing serious though, just kind of spoiles it a bit.

Cops

This was a story that can be read in an afternoon. The characters were interesting to get to know. Jake was slow to see what was upsetting Shelley and Fred came up with the solution.
