One look was all it took for Neal. One look before she was gone and he was too. Then one day he follows her home and that is only the beginning of the journey that makes him question everything about the nature of his love, life and even reality.
Bewilder is the first in a series of interweaving Short Stories called 'Diamonds'. A mosaic of ideas and themes dealing with fantasy, reality, love, death, redemption and joy.

James Eddy was born in Braintree, Essex in April 1980. After moving first to Colchester, Essex, the family settled in South Norfolk and James was able to enjoy the wide open spaces and quiet of the area which fed his imagination. Following an undistinguished University career, he began writing scripts for films and acting out the cliche of the drunken writer. He diversified by moving into prose and eventually focussed enough to write a collection of Short Stories called 'Diamonds'. His most recent release is the Novella 'In Dreams' and a Novel called 'The Dark Era' is set to be released in October 2014.

A strange little story told from a third person's POV, mostly as he relates something told to him by another. What I did like about it however, is the intimation that the mysterious or miraculous could be all around us without being recognised. Certainly Scotty, the narrator, missed it. As a 10 page, first in a series of small snippet stories it does seem to lack a broader point though.

Not sure what to say about this story. It was good, it sure makes you wonder what people go through and the way they cope through life. The one thing that is strange though, is how could Neal have made this world up when the places and people did exist, in the past, as far as the narrator knew?
