The idea of waiting over a thousand years for your soulmate is already heartbreaking, but seeing Aedan finally reunite with Aislinn only for her not to remember him was pure emotional torture in the best way. You can feel his devotion on every page.
I loved how the romance blends with ancient lore, destiny, and danger. The tension builds beautifully as Beltane approaches, and the stakes feel real love, identity, and time itself are on the line. It’s passionate, dramatic, and filled with that aching, fated-love energy that want you to read again. This is absolutely for you, If you enjoy magical romance, destiny-driven love stories, and emotional intensity, this one is absolutely worth diving into. 🔥💔✨
I have read/listened to every story Angela Aaron has written, but I have to say that The Fire of Beltane is by far her best yet. A breathtaking fantasy that will have your heart pounding, sighing, and breaking all at once.
Angela Aaron's stories are always interesting, heartfelt, and sexy, but she has such a lovely voice and a beautiful way of setting the scene. She always describes characters and their surroundings in such a way that the picture becomes so vivid in your mind that you actually feel like you are there in that world and looking at these characters, and that is definitely the case with The Fire of Beltane.
Such wonderful world building from past to present, you are pulled right into the heart of the story during the prologue in a time long ago where magic, war, chivalry and honour were very much alive.
I never like going in to too much detail as I don't want to spoil anything, but as stated in the blurb for this book Aedan is an immortal warrior - a Scottish one to be exact - and sweet Jesus, what a man; sweet and caring, yet dominant and possessive, respectful yet gets his point across, passionate - my god he will burn you up - oh, you just feel for him, you really do. He has been alive for so long waiting for his soul mate, Aislinn, that lucky girl, but she is so fabulous; independent, feisty, brave, and her reactions and the way she handles the massive U-turn her life takes when Adrian finds her and tells her who he is and how long he has been alive, and let's face it, a load of madness, well it's realistic. I love the fact that Angela Aaron hasn't rushed this story; the characters didn't rush to accept one another or what was going on it took time and a lot of time together for them to reach a point where they recognized one another and trusted one another, and damn, did they have fun doing that.
There is action, tons of humour that will have you giggling, moments that will make you blush, and the intimate/sex scenes are just heart racing, drool worthy, and god, will have you melting.
I have added the paperback to my wish list because I definitely have to have The Fire of Beltane on my bookshelf, but it was the audible book I actually purchased and was so glad that I did, because the narrator Hollie Jackson has such a lovely voice. She pulls you right into the story and switches from narrating to the characters dialogue so smoothly without breaking the flow. Her accents are fabulous and she is capable and wonderful from changing the lilt of those accents to the depth of her voice in an instant. It's a long story, but I couldn't stop listening.
With Hollie's pleasant voice and Angela's ability to weave a truly magical fantasy romance, the audible version of The Fire of Beltane is definitely a treat for your ears.
Whether you choose to listen to this story or read it this is one book you don't want to miss especially if you love timeless romances, tortured heroes, feisty heroines, laughs, actions, passion, magic, and everything else that spells a truly breathtaking fantasy romance. I for one loved it and I cannot wait to see what Angela Aaron cooks up next.
(Review is for the audible version of The Fire of Beltane, but still applies to the story itself.)
The Fire of Beltane is a sweeping tale of love, betrayal, time travel and eternal love that spans centuries; I loved Aedan and Aislinn and followed their relationship as Aedan has traveled back in time to return to his love, a reincarnated Aislinn. Sexy, romantic and worth more than one sigh, The Fire of Beltane will have you on the edge of your seat til the end. Love this authors other book as well, Pleasure Island. Angela Aaron is an author on the rise.
Wow what a rollercoaster of emotions in this book. I think I cried for an entire chapter. Do you have any idea how hard it is to read when you can't see? I loved the story with all of it's twists and turns. Bravo Angela! Can't wait to read more by you!
This book feels like a love story written across lifetimes. Aedan’s eleven-hundred year wait for his soulmate truly broke my heart, and when he finally finds Aislinn only for her to have no memory of him hit deep. The ache, the hope, the frustration… it all felt so real.
The mix of immortality, fate, ancient magic, and urgent danger kept me hooked. As Beltane draws closer, the pressure builds in the most deliciously painful way, and I found myself rooting for them with every page. It’s romantic, intense, and beautifully emotional.
This book swept me right into a world where love truly defies time. Aedan’s eleven-hundred year wait for his soulmate broke my heart from the very first pages, and when he finally finds Aislinn again only for her to remember nothing, it made the story even more emotional and bittersweet. Their connection feels powerful, fated, and aching in the best way.
The mix of Irish magic, destiny, danger, and deep romance kept me completely hooked. As Beltane draws closer, the urgency and emotion intensify, and I found myself genuinely rooting for their love to survive against impossible odds. If you enjoy immortal romance, destiny-bound lovers, and magical journeys with real emotional weight, this is a beautiful, captivating read.
Narrator: Hollie Jackson does a good job Rhis one was not as good as the first book I read from her. Was way to long!stretch out. I even skipped fast foward.
The Fire of Beltane is a unique love story about Aedan and Aislinn, who were lovers 1100 years ago. An evil spell separates them, and now Aedan goes to the future to find his one and only love. This was a passionate, sexy tale of true love!!! Aedan is the perfect alpha hero, who never stops looking for his love. Once he finds her, he must then persuade her that they were lovers many years ago. I read this in one day…the action and steamy love story had me wanting more!!! I love the way Angela Aaron writes and her development of her characters is so cool. I highly recommend this to those readers looking for a different kind of love story…one that transcends time!!!
Well Darn! This was so good, I wish there was a book 2, like right now! The whole Scottish Clan thing mix with magic and future hook ups was awesome! I totally loved the second half of the book when everything gets reversed. I was on pins and needles over if the H memories would come back... So good!!
Narration was ok too.. I actually like Hollie Jackson's narration, especially with romances.
Credit well spent... worth a buy or sale. Very enjoyable book!
