The first human colonists of the water world Pamu built themselves a grand floating city and in doing so, made enemies of that race beneath the waves. Over the years, the floating city has been destroyed bit by bit, reducing it to a tiny village. But now the village is destroyed as well and one human girl has been chosen to undertake a dangerous journey to save not just the descendants of the colonists but all the races of Pamu.
This is a good story about a young girl who finds herself caught up in a race to save herself and her world. It says something about the way generations relate. This is a story that younger readers might enjoy as it is has no foul language but I can not say the same of some of the authors other works. I liked this book and recommend it.
