Throughout the ages, the forces of Heaven have kept the Underworld at bay. The next generation of protectors needs to step up; A Goddess, An Atlantean, A Monk… but no one was expecting a Demon to be chosen. Demo’s life is full of uncertainties; but as an angelic protector, he has a chance to show he’s more than a textbook heathen. With prejudice facing him at every turn, and secrets being kept in Heaven itself, it will leave the new team fighting for their lives… and questioning who the Sinner really is.
Colorado native, cat loving, Columbo fanatic, Rina Brown wrote a story about kittens in the third grade and never looked back. Sharing her love for the written word with her little brother, she decided to take him on an untold adventure filled with heroes and monsters. Before she knew it, she wrote another book, then another, and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.
An accomplishment for such a young author to produce a piece of fiction, with initial depth of character development, however, in my opinion, struggles to make the story flow believably.
First manifest with fledgling powers, the hero is easily overcome and beaten (because of inexperience?) but is given high praise for tactical strategic thinking, only to be duped and thwarted again.
It was a bit of a clumsy read, from the mind/fingers of a developing author.
