Watery Grave has more of a horror feel than the other books in this series. There's some genuinely eerie imagery, and the body count here seems to be higher than that of the other books.

(Not that body count is the be-all-end-all of what makes a horror novel, but for a book written for teens in the early '80s, I was surprised it went that high.)

The book didn't stick the landing, but the rest of it was more than what I've come to expect from the series.

This old favorite from my teen years had an original plot and lots of mystery and suspense. I remember thinking it was pretty creepy.
I loaned it to friends and family and read so many times that is was pretty beat up.

The whole twilight series are a must read if you like 1980’s, occult, teenagers, adventure these books are for you!
This one even had elements of John Carpenters “The Fog” Definitely a must read and scary.

This book was actually somewhat scary. I was actully kind of scared to read this in the dark without being under the covers. The fish man charater scared me. THis book was really good, it was another one where I read it every chance I got. The only message I have that this one gives out is don't betray a fisherman who is dating your daughter or he will kill your family.

i must have read this book a million times. this book is truly horrifying but breath-taking and really great. i think everyone should have a little horror in their life. its a quick read and this guy really knows how to wirte a great horror book.

Forever one of my favorite books. Have been reading it for 20 years and still love it! Always keep me interested...even today. Although the lingo is early 80's, its so easy to engulf myself in this book. Love the concept of reincarnation that this book so subtly conveys. Classic in my opinion

It has been fun to reread these childhood favorites. I don't remember this one but I thought I read this whole Twilight series. They are fun distractions that I can read quickly in one sitting. Summer fun that brings me back to summers by my pool.
