Many books have been written on the Freedom Convoy; this is the most balanced perspective, the most honest and fair to all sides. The story shows how real democracy can work. Trudeau turned his back on us proving that he is unfit to rule. Read this to find out why.

The Canadian truckers who staged the vast but peaceful demonstration in Ottawa in 2022 are considered to be heroes (I hate that word, but what else to use?) the world over. As their spokeswoman and organizer, Tamara Lich has my respect and gratitude, but that doesn't mean her book doesn't contain a couple of flaws, at least in my opinion. Let's get those out of the way first.

The first thing that ground my gears was the racial politics thing. Lich goes on and on ad nauseam about being Metis and having Native roots, just like it should afford some extra weight to her words or something. If I wrote a book where I went on endlessly about being white, you know what kind of label I would get stuck with. Her race really has nothing to do with the way she was treated, so it isn't relevant unless you're trying to be a fake Indian like Iron Eyes Cody or Buffy Ste Marie or Sacheen Littlefeather or Grey Owl or Elizabeth Warren. I almost discarded the book when she started on about how the wolf is a sacred animal to native people, fearing she was about to slip into zoomorphism, but she just was basically comparing westerners to wolves and easterners to chihuahuas. Fair enough. But lay off the race: being black didn't help Trudeau advance his popularity.

I also would have been more comfortable with the book had she eased off on the religious references. I have nothing against any peaceful religion or the people to adhere to it, but when your second-last paragraph reads "And I ask you to join me, because I know now that God has put me here to make the great nation of Canada stronger, freer and more united." Good grief, you're a protest organizer, not Joan of friggin' Arc!! I'm sorry, Tamara, but if there is a God He has no interest in Canadian politics. If He did, Trudeau would have been eaten by coyotes somewhere between birth and puberty.

Those two grievances aside, Ms Lich has done a creditable job of explaining how the Freedom Convoy got started and how it gained momentum on the road to Ottawa. She outlines the persecutions faced by convoy participants, which ranged from parking tickets to having assets seized or frozen to, eventually, being assaulted by uniformed thugs and trampled by horses at the command of the cowardly commie tyrant in charge of this country, a man so foul and craven that he fled the city without once speaking to a convoy organizer.

Tamara has a few revelations in these pages, or at least news to me, the most salient of which is the fact that there was an agreement between the protest organizers and the city of Ottawa to disperse the convoy before Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act. The simpering rat had planned to use that measure all along!

Tamara is before the courts at time of writing, having spent more time in prison than some murderers, all because of a peaceful protest. Some of the officials judging her have been Trudeau appointees, so you can imagine how much impartiality there has been in her case. I think she has been made to suffer unnecessarily for something that shouldn't be a crime at all: peaceful protest. I hope they erect a statue to her some place.

Hopefully this book will show Canadians that their liberty hangs by a thread. We need a new political system. Something is seriously wrong when a fascist with something like 33% of the popular vote can override all the judicial safeguards designed to ensure our freedoms. We need to change the name of this country to People's Republic of Canada.

Props to Rebel News for having the courage to publish this. Maybe slap an Index in there next time, OK guys? Toss in a few photos?

ok don’t judge me it was free and also i think it’s important to read books with a critical lens

interesting to see the other side of this, or at least tamara’s version of that side, as someone who lived in ottawa during the convoy and also works in corrections

would not read again, would not buy, would not join a convoy

DNF at 68% - I tried to get through it, but couldn't. It's an insult to intelligence.

I like to read books on all political views and political history, so when I saw this on kindle unlimited I downloaded it out of curiousity. This book is very MAGA-esque or as Lich would put it “Make Alberta Great Again”. I read the entire January 6th Report on the insurrection and have read several books on Trumps America, but this I couldn’t finish.

Some points Lich makes I do agree with, but a broken clock is right twice a day.. this is filled with political propaganda and is basically an anti-Trudeau, anti-democracy hit piece (I'm an immigrant, so can’t vote in my country until I become a citizen - I also work in logistics, so have a huge respect for truck drivers and how they keep our country’s trade moving), but am very neutral when I go into my reading sessions.

I do not recommend at all. I’d give this 0 stars if I could. It’s clear all of the 5 star ratings are from Tamara Lich supporters - I wonder if they actually read the book?

While I don’t always agree with Lich and found a couple of cringeworthy lines in here, I found this read very interesting and thought that she came across in a genuine and upfront way. I appreciated that I learned a lot more about the convoy protest and the organizers from this book as the mainstream media in Canada wasn’t reporting on so many details surrounding the protest (other than to make it out to be awfully inconsiderate, inappropriate, hateful and violent which was the very opposite of what average people in the area at the time were showing on social media livestreams or posts).

This definitely gave me a better understanding of the sentiment of the protesters and a lot more insight into how the Trudeau government created their narrative as well as some of the legal aftermath.

A dark mark in Canadian history.

The victors get to write the history books. Thankfully, freedom loving Canadian's can read this. I don't know yet if the convoy of 2022 was a victory or not. But Tamara lich, a political prisoner for over 40 days held on mischief charges, has a strength of character and faith that all of Canada and much of the world should hope to emulate.

Bless her, and all the other hard working people that stood up for human rights and freedoms during such bleak times and cheered a rally call in the north that was heard across the world. Praying that her late 23 trial is not another dark mark on canadian history, but a flash of victory we can all celebrate.

Hold The Line by Tamara Lich

I chose this book to read because Tamara Lich is a freedom warrior and fought for our charter of rights and I am proud that she took a stand against Trudeau and the coward leftist that persecuted and insulted anybody that didn’t agree with getting the clot shot and lost their livelihoods because of Trudeau draconian unjust mandates that weren’t law but oppressive rules that didn’t make any sense
This is 5 star because what Tamara did and many other leaders stood up for freedom and justice
Praise God for Tamara This book will go down in history forever Amen

What a great story of heroism from a leader of the Freedom Convoy. If you are a Canadian you need to read this book!! Especially if you are a Canadian and think that we still live in a free country. Tamara Lich is still awaiting sentencing for a crime she has spent 48 days in prison for a crime that usually doesn't have a prison sentence. Lich is however, looking at a 10 year sentence for nothing but disagreeing with the government. Her name should be held in the same regards as Nelson Mandela and Gandhi.

Hold The Line by Tamara Lich is a really, really honest and well written book about the Freedom Convoy.
It tells how Tamara became involved, the making of the convoy and the other leaders involved, Trudeau's invoking the Emergency Act, and even Tamara's struggles as a political prisoner in jail. And finally, this book talks about the Energency Act Inquiry that was held after the Emergency Act, where police testified that the Emergency Act was not needed!
I literally just finished reading it a couple minutes ago. This is a great read for anyone who was against covid mandates, especially those of us who protested against them and who were at the convoy. And it's also really good for people who never heard this side of the story! Who were only listening to the main stream media and Trudeau through out covid. This book exposes the lies that were fed to you by the main stream media about the convoy, the protesters and Tamara Lich.
If you enjoy reading and have interest in the convoy or just want the truth, this is a must read!

Tamara Lich's "Hold the Line: My Story From the Heart of the Freedom Convoy" is a wonderful read from one of the leader's of the convoy. I had heard her on Jeff Kunhner's WRKO show and remembering the brave patriots standing up for freedoms of the draconian COVID mandates, which COVID is such another matter. Bravo for the brave Tamara that has lost so much but really gained so much more in her brave stance. The World gained courage by this action and though it seems at many times impossible by the tyrants in especially democratic governments seemed to turn things upside down, it is time for all good people to stand up to this evil force to control people and take freedoms away.

We exposed the weak leadership of the Conservative party in the face of Trudeau’s outrageous assault on Canadian freedoms. The day we arrived in Ottawa, the leader of the federal Conservative party was Erin O’Toole, who did not support the convoy. Three days later214, he was pushed out by his caucus. The new Conservative leader, Pierre Poilievre, supported the convoy 100 per cent215, and still does.216

All of Trudeau’s militancy, his paranoia and his vanity has been exposed. Every single one of his lies has been exposed. The inquiry has proved beyond doubt that we were a grassroots movement of real Canadians who simply wanted to come to the nation’s capital to be heard. And that Trudeau viciously made us his enemies and declared war on us because we had dared to speak truth to power.

Refreshing, encouraging, hopeful - a must read for every individual with an open mind willing to see both sides of an issue before forming an opinion.

Tamara Lich was there. She gives perspective to what really happened in Ottawa with the Canadian Freedom convoy protest. Hold the Line clarifies who and what the Freedom Convoy is.

My favorite line, on the last page, is a heart-to-heart line which leaves me with hope.
Quote: “I now know with absolute certainty, that Canada is an incredible country and I love it deeply, with my heart and soul.”

I love it too, and this book turned my shame for what is happening in Canada back to pride and possibility for my country to become strong and free once again. I thank the author for her courage to write her story and get it out there.

It's good to read about the 'other side' of the story. The real truth about events such as this one, can only be found by reading and understanding the different points of view and different perspectives from the different players - and somewhere in there, in all that is being presented, one can make an informed opinion. I enjoyed reading her side of the story and how it played out for her. I hope that the courts let her go. She does not belong in jail and never should have been incarcerated. I believe that she is being used to 'make an example' of what can happen to you if you dare to speak up for what you believe in should it contradict what the ones in power are trying to push through. This happens in the workplace everyday - as well as in relationships of all sorts. I did not like the 'foreword' and it would have been better to leave it out entirely.

Hold the Line is an authentic account of the events surrounding the Freedom Convoy in Canada. Tamara Lich is both the author and narrator, giving this book an authentic, Canadian voice. While not especially eloquent, Lich's wholesome sincerity, patriotism and authenticity come through. She was an unlikely person to co-lead such a large-scale event, a tribute to her courage and the spontaneous response of the Canadian people. Listening to her account of how a broad, inclusive diversity of Canadians came out to support the truckers in protesting draconian, unconstitutional COVID restrictions gives me hope in the silent majority of Canadians. The Canadian Prime Minister earned the tongue-lashing that he received in the EU for his fascist response to a peaceful protest. If this were a review of Lich herself and her noble quest, it would be five stars.

I personally watched the livestreamers embedded with the Convoy during those weeks, often through the night as they went about talking to people, and making sure the Convoy was being properly represented by impartial witnesses, unlike the ugly lies being told by our taxpayer funded national legacy media. Tamara's book echoes the public events I witnessed, identifying many that are long familiar to we Convoy supporters. Tamara and the other hi-visibility Convoy leaders have never had 5 seconds of time in the national news cycles to give their side of the events of 2020, and onward. If you have one speck of decency and fairness, you will READ this book just to prove you have some moral ideas about honour in you. It is a very very easy book to read. YOU read, you decide if the govts actions are warranted.

FANTASTIC READ

I personally would like to thank Tamara for her belief in our country and our people. I think there would have been 10's of thousands more people at the rally if our country wasn't spread over so many miles. Plus everyone have been hurting because of our over taxing by all our governments. This is a fantastic read for all Canadians to read what really happened in Ottawa, I was with them all from the beginning & many tears were shed by me to see our country come together as we did. Watching all the videos people were posting made me feel like I was there with them. I hope to see another book by Tamara telling the whole story when her farce of her court case is over.

Hold The Line by Tamara Lich
Wether you agreed with the freedom convoy or not , you should read this book

Tamara Lich one of the convoy organizers writes this from her perspective and from the truth she saw downtown and all across Canada and the world during the convoy.
She speaks of her incarcerations and how she was treated worse than a criminal who had committed severe crimes.
She writes honestly , and with an open heart about the Canada and Canadians she loves.

This is her truth. And the truth of the Freedom Convoy not what CBC and the Liberal government told you to believe.

I'm not a freedom convoy supporter. I didn't agree with them. But I do believe this book is accurate. I am shocked that Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act when withdrawal plans had already been negotiated. Media was obviously biased, and it was obvious the government treated this protest differently than other ones. Ironically, the way they treated Lich makes her case strongest of all.
Note, this is currently available on Kindle Unlimited, so can be read for free as part of a free trial. They offer them often.

The political persecution suffered by Tamara Lich under the Trudeau-Ford tyranny is a particularly shameful episode in the middle of a worldwide episode of shame. The grace, courage and integrity she demonstrated throughout her ordeal is something for us to be proud of. Unfortunately, her ordeal isn’t over yet. I know who should be in jail, and it’s not Tamara Lich.
This book isn’t flawless, and it could certainly use a better copyeditor, but it is hast paced with a lot of authenticity, and the author’s voice rings clear on every page.

The book was good, I was really curious what Tamara had to say. You can tell the book was not professionally edited, had several errors, which can be a challenge to read and didn’t always read smoothly.

The content of the book was interesting, there were certain topics I wish she would have done a deeper dive on.

My biggest complaint is that she wrote the book before the story was completed. I am curious how her 2023 trial went, so now I have to go searching (and it won’t be from her prospective likely).

Overall an interested book.

An interesting read about a resilient Canadian Métis woman who stood up for what she believed in. Worth a read even if you don't agree with all of her views. Despite the mistreatment and injustice she has suffered, Ms Lich writes in a style free from malice or bitternes. The first eight chapters are more organised and flow better than the last two. I got the sense she was writing up to last minute, trying to keep the book as up to date as possible.

This was an honest and revealing book. One comes away appreciating the author for her humility and bravery as she was swept up into the huge historical Canadian David and Goliath moment which was the Freedom Convoy. The cost to her continues to be huge in terms of personal freedom and wellbeing and readers will ask themselves whether challenging governmental overreach is, in the end, worth it. Despite threats to her future, Tamara Lich seems to answer 'Yes, it is!'.

Still need to "Hold the Line"

Thank you Tamara. I watched, got shivers, and talked, was told it didn't matter. There's still a long way to go. We continue to have a government that is constantly lying, denying culpability, and pushing the jab.
It was wonderful to read about the experience, drive and commitment. Well written, important and inspiring. Stay strong Tamara.

Tamara Lich went from an ordinary working class citizen to a household name in 2022. Her autobiography is filled cover to cover with hope, gratitude and humility. Even if you don’t agree with the Freedom Convoy I urge you to read this book to see these historical events from a different perspective, from the woman at the heart of it.
