This was a pretty good zombie story considering how short it was. It was wonderfully gory in some spots and had sparkles of a great story. If you enjoy Zombies, give it a try.
This story really captured what it means in the morning when your favorite hot beverage isn't made just the way you like it and they get some of the grounds in the drink too. It also had good character development in it and showed us how this character really wanted to get ahead and was sick of getting the short of end of the stick while the office slacker gets ahead.
Those are really the best parts of the story, the whole attempt at putting zombies in the story really was just pointless and they didn't need to be there.
The story gets two stars because the author really developed the character of Matt very well and made me root for him and want him to succeed and close those three mortgages he was thinking of while going into work. The story just falls apart after that.
This as a great short story. While on its own it’s not much due to being just a few pages, but as part of an anthology or companion project it works quite well. It’s actually well written. There is not much of an ending so we should probably read Sven’s Zombie book too… Jorja Rae-independent author
This was a great and entertaining short about a guy named Matt who really hated his co-worker that seemed to have all the luck and did none of the work but gets all the credit. In an attempt to out do his co-worker, Matt decides to go to work a little early one day. I't will be his last mistake he ever makes.
