Connie's cafe and Rebecca's Tea and Read shop are now joined into one business venture. When Rebecca goes to open up her shop, she finds it broken into and ransacked. Who would have done such a thing? Rebecca wants revenge and to find out who did it, while Connie tries to talk her down and tell her let the police and her detective fiance, Ted, handle it. It doesn't work and Connie is beginning to think she doesn't know her partner like she thought. Add to that and Rebecca's niece, Piper, gets into big trouble. But if that isn't enough so does Rebecca and now her mother brings her latest boyfriend to meet Connie. This is a very fast paced read that you can't put down once you start. This is a great series and I can't wait to see what will happen next! I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
Connie’s business partner Rebecca that owns Tea’s and Reads just got ransacked. Rebecca has no idea who would do such a thing. Connie is trying to figure out who would have broken in the shop. Meanwhile Connie’s mother shows up with Jerry the guy she has been seeing for a few weeks. Connie is upset about this but realizes soon that her mother does need to have someone in her life since her father passed away over ten years ago. Of course Connie’s fiancé Ted Billings is trying to get to the bottom of the break-in. There is always a message in these quick little books! And, I love how Rebecca is asking Connie to help her with her niece.
I received this ARC from the author for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
When Teas and Reads is ransacked, Rebekah decides to take revenge on her own. Connie cannot convince her to leave it in the hands of the police. The revenge turns out different than expected and Connie is second guessing her partnership with Rebekah. In the middle of all this, Connie gets some, alarming to her, news from her mother. This was another good story, but this time when I finished reading the end was abrupt and I felt there should have been a little more to the end. I am really enjoying this series and am anxious to get to the next book! Always sweet and clean; thank you Ms. Marple for that!
I received this book from the author as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Another very enjoyable entry in Ms. Marple's Connie Cafe Mysteries. This time Connie is trying to help solve the mystery of a break-in in the bookstore that adjoins her coffee shop and come to terms with the fact that her mother, who has been a widow for many years, is beginning to date. While I enjoyed this story as much as all of the others I have read, I had a bit of an issue with it. I felt that Connie was somewhat judgemental and rough on Rebecca when she discovered the identity of the person who broke into the bookstore. I think I expected a little more compassion and understanding on Connie's part. But all in all, this entry was as enjoyable as all of the others I have read. I received a review copy from the author at my request and this is my honest opinion.
Connie Cafe and Rebecca’s “ Tea and Reads” Cafe is vandalised and they call Ted Connie’s fiance’ cop to investigate . Roberta Connie’s mother wants her to meet Jerry Franklin president of the nearby coffee roaster. Rebecca's niece Piper was caught by Ted and Rebecca is in trouble too .A hilarious read about the day to day excitement at Connie’s Cafe and the interesting people working there. A enjoyable and entertaining read . A nice addition about forgiveness and trust in God. I am on the ARC team and I leave a honest review. I recommend this book to other readers. .
Rebecca's bookstore, Teas and Reads, was broken into and trashed. Connie was very surprised at the way Rebecca wanted to catch the perpetrator instead of leaving it to the police. This caused Connie to start wondering about the business side of their relationship.
I received a free ARC, and this is my honest opinion.
Great series!! I read all 13 books and at the end I was sad that it didn’t continue! I guess that means it was a fun read! Not too serious and grizzly. Lots of great spiritual awakening moments that we can relate to. I’ll miss you Connie Cafe!
I love this series! lots of interesting complex and quirky characters. The story is interesting and keep your interest! received an arc for a voluntary review and it is a fun read!
