In the last installment of the Wolf Harem series, all questions will be answered. Five will now become six, but will he be invited to their bed? Dallas showed up for the wrong reasons and Spencer biting him was an accident in the sense he didn't realize it meant life or death to the man. While Dallas is trying to follow the rules of his new pack and adapt to a life with actual friends and a make a home, everyone else is working hard to build a true family. It's not been an easy journey in anyway but one they are all better off for taking. The last surprise of the series... Who makes the special guest appearances? CONTENT ADVISORY: This title contains scenes of sex in a partially shifted form.
Okay first things first - That is the worst cover. I could write stories about that cover (first in the series will be - back away creep)
Secondly I want to state that I am not really a fan of Joyee, she has some okay ones and then she produces some really craptastic books. (usually I like the beginning of a series, but then she ruins it by trying to write/release to fast)
Thirdly I need to mention that I actually LIKED this series, they were simple bits of enjoyable fluff that was worthy of a few hours of enjoyment.
Now that I have all my disclaimers out of the way - I will talk about this book
OMG it sucked!!
There, I said it! I have waited ages for this book and I can tell that Joyee didnt want to write it, she was just finishing off the series so she could shut up her fans who wanted the last book.
Lets talk about the bad guy - he featured in the beginning, there was a plan on how to deal with him - then NOTHING. That plot thread was NEVER again mentioned.
Lets talk about Dallas - he is the latest of the 'harem' and you would think this book was going to be about him....right???? well that would be logical and apparently this book was all about the illogical.
Lets talk about lack of character development - I swear I was reading two different books, the first part of the story had promise, it set up the bad guy and set up Dallas - it looked like Dallas was going to struggle excepting the 5 other men. It also looked like he might use his assassin skills to help/protect the others but nop (I personally think that this is where Joyee had written up to and then put the book down for 2 years) I think this because the tone of the book changed to a rushed shit heap of half plotted out ideas and character profiles. Dallas became insignificant and it was all one big pussy cry fest after that.
Lets talk about the unforgivable - and this is why this book went from a 2 star book to a 1/2 star book - Joyee wrote herself and Gabrielle Evens into the book OMFG WHAT WAS SHE THINKING...this is the most useless and pathetic thing any author does and it makes me cringe when I read it. She talks about herself being feisty and funny and strong female blah blah blah it was so wrong on so many levels I feel like a need a few shots of tequila to wipe this memory from my brain.
Here is a note from anyone wanting to read this book - DONT BOTHER - simply pretend that there is only 3 books in the series and NEVER read the ending its not worth it and you will have to go out and spend money on a bottle of tequila (or seek counselling which is expensive)
This was... I'm trying to find a fitting word to describe how horrible it was but I can't find any...
First, Ryder is more annoying than ever and completely turns into a chick-with-dick, Luc was ok, Sean gives the same treatment to Dallas that he gave to Ethan, (Off-screen of course), Spencer suffers a big PMS, a lot of important topics themes are just like fucking shoved aside, I mean, all, ALL the points that could have saved the book are fucking shoved aside, and what remains? a somehow hot sex scene (the threesome with Dallas, every other scene was boring or repetitive, like the inconsequential ragefuck between Luc and Ryder we had already seen, or Ethan sucking every dude, the plot is boring, and the icing of the cake was the self insert, it was so painful to read that in fact i didn't read more than the first two paragraphs I felt something in ashamed in her behalf, and ultimately I felt insulted that after waiting so long for this book Joyee Flynn give us this amateurish piece and makes us pay for it.
I'm highly disappointed, this is worst than her Marius brothers stuff and all the spins off that came of it.

Don't even waste your time. I'm sorry I wasted mine. I'll sum up the plot: the 5 men add another man and they have lots of sex. They all act like chicks with dicks and then Joyee Flynn thinks its a stroke of creative genius to add herself and another author to the story. Theres's a HEA for the characters but not for the reader who will feel cheated that they spent money on this.
This was a very interesting series to read. I was very happy to have found a new mm poly series to devour as insomnia overtakes me. And I was right to be excited! Overall, this was a very fun read. However, a few things kept it from getting five stars from me. Some of the plot points and relationship dynamics were a little rushed. I feel that Flynn could have dug even deeper with the charcters. There was just a -very slight- sense of shallowness. Maybe because the majority of the books was pure action? Having said this, I still enjoyed this series and will remember it for a long while.
Spencer and the gang are sleeping when they are awakened by an intruder. Spencer reacts violently and forces a choice on Dallas, fuck or die. With the only choice besides death, being he has to sleep with the man, Dallas has no choice but to become a shifter. With a new addition to the household, Spencer, Ryder, Ethan, Dean and Luc have some adjustments to make, pasts to face, insecurities to acknowledge and flaws to accept or their relationships will begin to crumble.
This novella is the last in the Wolf Harem series and continues from just before the end of Dying Assassin and is filled with hot sex, jealousy and angst. Spencer screws up by biting an intruder, especially when he learns that the assassin was sent with false information, now he has to turn the man to save his life. Dallas is deep in the closet and now he has to have sex with a man to save his life. All the men, together, have to work through their problems and jealousy to come together as a real family.
I am going to be honest and say that I am in two minds as to this story. Why? Well, it’s simple really. Spencer and Dean got right up my nose with their attitudes towards Dallas. And, also the fact that they were all determined to force Dallas to admit he was gay. Spencer got on my nerves with his childish behavior concerning Ryder as well. It also amazed me that any of them got any work done with the amount of sex going on. On the other end of the scale, we have the abused men who are shown compassion and understanding and are offered love and support as they get the help they need. Dallas has amazing insight into Ethan and helps the little guy to admit the truth to everyone. And the love that all the men feel does shine through. So. that’s why I am in two minds.
This story is well written and it is entertaining. it has a lot of angst, frustration, anger, love, hot sex, resolution, healing and a happy ever after for the guys… but what it doesn’t have is a face to face resolution with Payton. We get told what will happen to him, but we don’t see it. So, I recommend this to those who like any of the above and also a special visit from two of our favorite authors.
Flynn tends to be a hit or miss reading experience for me. This series landed in the dead middle, a so- so series sprinkled with moments of really good writing that kept me interested enough to care about the MC's. That streak ended with this final installment. After the over abundance of plugging other writers and their works ( I'm guessing because Flynn and those writers may be friends), I couldn't finish the book.Ive come across it in other Flynn works but at least it was small dosages not this deluge that was so over the top, it pulled me out of the story! To add insult to injury the storyline was just too flimsy, no real substance, no justification to add yet another to the harem. I closed the book bitterly disappointed.
My favorite Flynn series is the Warrior Camp books. Those books have a great storyline, MC's with a lot of depth and don't come across as het romances.
I had been looking forward to this book, and I'm kind of disappointed. Maybe because I'm not ready to let go of the series, but I did have more issues with this book than the others. I enjoyed parts of it, and the ending was good. But what happened to Payton? I know what the plan was, but there was no follow up. I would have liked to read about that being resolved. As for Dallas, he didn't seem well developed and rather incidental to the whole plot. He was kind of just... there. Why didn't Spencer get in trouble for creating another werewolf? In the previous books it was such a major no-no, but this time, nbd.
Am still looking forward to reading more from this author, though. Overall it was a good series, and an enjoyable read.
Not the best of the series. Really just disappointment, I'm not saying this because I don't usually like menages (I actually liked this series up until this point..I thought it was one of the best menage series I've read). The story started out good but from there it just went downhill (the only reason it got 2 stars..). The ending where the author wrote herself and Gabrielle Evans in was unexpected and I thought just a tad bit cheesy. I also had this intense hate for Ryder at one point too that kind of came out of left field. The relationship between them all didn't feel like a menage throughout the book it just seemed like a bunch of open relationships. The feel from the previous books just wasn't there for me.
Found this unread on my kindle, so I did. I'll not bore anyone with rehashing her writing style, we all know how I feel about that. What I do need to say, surprised at only a few others mentioning it, was Payton. How can you completely leave a major plot point open-ended, unfinished, in truth, forgotten about.
As for writing herself in at the end, and not just writing herself in but to actually praise herself, can everyone say meglamaniac. Well, enough said.
With this conclusion to the series the pack get settled on their ranch and start a shelter for teens who’ve been kicked out for being gay and all six men learn to deal with the demons of their past
Hmmm, while I loved the happy ending and getting to learn about the characters, I waited a long time for this installment and well, it was a little under whelming.
