The second book is always a very difficult challenge because you have to build on what you did in the previous book while also making things better. This presents a challenge that is very difficult to overcome. You have to move the tale along, and you have to do it in a way that makes sense with what has come before. This is something that a lot of authors seem to struggle with, so it’s important that you pay attention to it.
In this regard, Blake Miller expands substantially upon the lore and the universe that he established in The White Tree. He also provides a significant amount of additional character development for both Cynthia and Kaden. They are taking a great deal more initiative now that they have a clearer idea of where they stand and what they are doing, which is very beneficial to the process of developing a connection with these two characters.
Additionally, it is essential to emphasize that Miller is making progress with his writing abilities, and that accomplishment alone is deserving of recognition. He is getting sharper, knowing when to hit an ideal spot with a scene, and the descriptions of the many various fantasy components that the novel has are presented in a way that is highly exciting for the reader.
In general, this is a really powerful sequel that delivers on the promise of the conclusion of the original one and does it with personality, character, and a clear knowledge of what works and doesn’t work in storytelling. Overall, this is a solid sequel. In addition to that, it is propelled by two protagonists who are both powerful and captivating.

Author Blake Miller has done what few authors are able to. The Moon’s Eye is even more captivating than the first book (the White Tree) was! The way he builds his world and characters, along with his thrilling story telling, had me page-turning for hours and thinking about the story, long, long after I’d put the book down to rest. Over the course of the story, there were many times that I read a segment and then immediately stopped to read it again. From beginning to end, it’s simply brilliant. It is clear that with this absolutely fantastic novel, Blake Miller has set things up for a truly epic third entry in the series. Do yourself a favor and set aside some time to read this one. You’ll be very happy you did!

This was a truly captivating and imaginative sci-fi and fantasy novel. The author brilliantly draws the reader into the narrative immediately, starting with a shocking encounter with a stalker searching for the twins and moving into a cosmos-spanning disappearance that could have serious ramifications. The world-building in this book is top tier, with the author doing an amazing job of using imagery to bring each world and unique territory to life in the writing while also giving newcomers a chance to fully immerse themselves into this unique story and the worlds it inhabits.
The air of mystery and magic that permeates throughout this novel and the dazzling imagery found in the author’s writing really kept this book in my mind in the weeks of reading it. The shocking twists in the protagonists Kaden and Cynthia’s backstories and their connection, as well as the level of importance they gain as the story progresses, kept me invested in the narrative fully, and the dynamic chemistry between the friends as they set out on this adventure balanced out with the adversarial role the antagonists had on these heroes and their journey.

Gripping, magical, and entertaining, author Blake Miller’s “Delos: The Moon’s Eye” is a fantastic sci-fi meets fantasy YA and Epic Fantasy novel. The complex yet engaging aspect of the world-building felt very much like the addicting story arcs found in series like Game of Thrones, and yet the connection to Earth and our modern world blended with the cosmic level of the storytelling made this feel like GoT meets Star Wars meets any YA high-school supernatural thriller found in stores today.

Their journey takes them to Diluvium, a land of water and ice, where they must undergo the Quest of Six Waters to claim what they need to save the Lil’s life: the Seventh Water. However, no one has survived the Quest in over 6,000 years. Delos: The Moon’s Eye is a well-written and well-paced book that delivers on all fronts. The author has created a rich and immersive world that is full of magic, mystery, and adventure. The characters are likable and relatable, each with their own personality, strengths, and flaws. The plot is engaging and exciting, with twists and turns that will keep you guessing. The book also explores themes such as friendship, loyalty, courage, sacrifice, and destiny. The author has created such a wonderful world that is full of magic, mystery, and adventure. I loved Cynthia and Kaden’s bond. They are so supportive and protective of each other. I also loved Alec’s character. He is so funny and smart. And I won’t spoil who the fourth companion is, but trust me, you’ll love him too. The plot was so exciting and unpredictable. There were so many twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. The book also had a lot of emotion and depth. It explored themes like friendship, loyalty, courage, sacrifice, and destiny. It made me laugh, cry, gasp, and cheer. If you are a fan of epic fantasy novels that combine action, adventure, romance, humor, and suspense, then you will this.
