One Day: Be Consistent

Rate this book
I am really tired but I do not want to go to sleep before I write this book. It is a baby book maybe but it has all the necessary ingredients to be called a book and I am talking here about the main idea.

In this case, the main theme of this book is how much and how important is to be consistent.

Today at work I installed 8 lights in my 8 hours shift as an electrician and during that, I realized that if today I was missing from work tomorrow I could not recover what I did today and the quota for tomorrow in one single day.

I think, if people will dedicate more time, or in some cases maybe, some time to reflect on the implications of not being consistent then they will be successful.

This is my point in this book.

Why people are not successful?

For sure, one big reason is that they lose track of doing something every day toward their goal if they have one.

What can I say?

Do not get me started.

Believe it or not, are still people out there who do not figure it out yet what they want to do with /in their life.

Not even one major thing.

I have a coworker in my crew who told me that his calling was to be an electrician. Nothing more.

He cannot sleep.

Successful people give away some sleep to invest in working towards their goals.

I call this even, but man, what different results, right?

I am working on my Ph.D. right now and I get about 4-6 hours of sleep at night.

Is exactly how many hours of sleep he gets. The result?

Not for too long our income will be really different if my plan works as I craft it.

In short, I will do electrical work in the morning, and in the afternoon I will teach at the University.

If I could still function acceptably in weekends, I will open my own practice office.

That will translate into three paychecks.

In other words, three times the minimum pay than I am making now.

So, more streams of income, more money, and a faster way to become financially independent and really enjoy life.

It is a modest goal, but in this country (I live in the USA) the sky is the limit and, in my opinion, everybody should aspire to something more than ordinary.

It bothers me and I do not understand why people are so compliant.

I know that we, as human beings, tend to simplify our lives as much as possible, but for God's sake, if you can make more money, right?

Am I different, then?

Anyway, I think people like convenience.

For example, after work, they like to go home and spend the evening in front of the TV set.

That is a bad habit, which affects not only the financial sector but the general health, too.
