Nearly losing his life when his best friend's house explodes, Peter Shaw is tormented by his need to find out who is behind not just his near-death experience, but a series of violent crimes that threatens those closest to him: his wife, his best friend, and his best friend's only child.

Despite his best efforts, the one person who can help him most side-steps his every attempt to solve the crimes she seems to know too much about.

As those around him fall victim, 'Pete' and his former partner, and best friend, retired Detective Jim Swartz, drive unswervingly toward the discovery of the menace that threatens their city and everything they hold dear.

Amy K. Jones is a native Floridian. She loves road-tripping and urban exploring with her husband and family. As they tour the back roads and out of the way places around the US, she enjoys meeting people and getting to know a little about the history of each area they pass through. Spontaneous day-trips have given her husband (Book Cover Artist, Jason M. Jones) fodder for the beautiful book covers he creates for her, and sparked her own imagination endlessly.

Amy began her writing career over twenty years ago and says she still finds writing most entertaining and challenging, despite the hard work and long hours. 'It's a solitary work environment,' she says of writing, 'but there's never a dull moment in my days.' When she isn't writing, she operates her website, creates videos for her new YT channel, and offers help and encouragement to other very talented, up-and-coming authors.

Amy K. Jones is a freelance writer and the author of twelve novels. She is an award winning editor for Topix, an online news source. She's been featured on EzineArticles.com as an Expert Author and her articles for them have been featured on their website. 'Paradise News' featured her articles in their magazine. PressExposure.com also featured the launch of all of her (previously paperback only) novels in digital format for Amazon Kindle Books.

Brand new young author. Has a way to go to become a first class
author but like it that she had to go power to write a book and get it published.
