Sorry in advance for moronism; I'm drunk.

A list about this book:

1. Michael had an eight pack. Not a six pack. Not a flabby belly. But an actual eight pack. Proof penultimate that he's an alien.

2. The writing, like everyone's said, is terribad. It goes like this:

Ricky had always liked ice-cream. One day his dad found out he liked ice-cream. His dad went apeshit. He beat the shit out of Ricky. Ricky got threw out. Ricky lived pitiful life. He was then taken in.

Not sure if author knows usage of 'and' extends beyond 'I like blowjobs and handjobs' but can also be used in a way that fuses sentences together, such as 'I am much too proper for them however, and after one look at my face people will usually suggest a nosejob instead anyway'.

3. A fan charges onstage to give Ricky some love and he starts crying.

4. Ricky, as a stage performer, doesn't own waterproof mascara.

5. Clem is nicknamed Maverick because he's great with horses? ok

6. Everybody loves Michael despite the fact that he treats everyone like shit. Proof ultimate that he's ass probin' everyone into submission.

7. Ricky tells Mav that a) He is a singer and b) He lip syncs and suddenly he's like !!!! U DRAG QUEEN !!!!!!!!!

False. Mav is clearly another alien who can read minds, because how does someone go from a and b to Drag Queen.

Unless he thinks about DQs all the time.

8. Mav is all, HWAHHHH someone might know I'm gay, but his dick is hard 90% of this book and I know because the book tells you again and again that he's got an erection and he's spurting precome like 45 times in the first four chapters alone. How can someone even not know he's gay when he's sporting a wood all the time

Ok I finished it but only because it was like a train wreck and I wanted to see if there were any survivors. Writing was just eeek, it was like reading a manual or something. The story line was all over the place and at parts it didn't make sense. The dialogue was atrocious. It lacked, a lot. Again, I read some free stories by authors who can't get published that blow me away and this book gets published? Really?

The writing is kinda completely awful. No, never mind. Awful doesn't even begin to cover it. The accents are just irritating and the plot is shaky. Oh, and the characters annoying.

No. Frigging. Way!

58% of this frigging book and I HAD to stop reading it.
Why you ask?
Well... Mav was supposed to be falling in love with Ricky (and maybe he was) BUT he gets into a threesome with his ex (Dmitri) and his lover Carlo.

And where's Ricky at this point?
Ricky's (still) with his asshole of a boyfriend (Michael - one of the most insufferable characters I have met in a long long time).

If they (Mav and etc) really fuck, I don't know. 'Cause I couldn't bear the idea of Mav cheating on Ricky (yeah I know they're not together yet but to me that counts as cheating!).

Two stars because Ricky is adorable and Mav is a very sexy cowboy and the writing was very good.
This could be on my favorites shelf.

OMG I loved this book even though I spent quite a lot of it tutting and shacking my head at how Ricky was allowing himself to be treated by his boyfriend. I wanted to shake him and tell him to wake the hell up! This story just grabs you by the heart and by the end you are just preying Mav will grow a pair and get his man. This is the beatify of Ms Logan's writing she get right into the emotions of the tale and burrys them in your heart, so you feel personally invested in the outcome. I will be reading a lot more of this authors work but I will remember to have some tissues to hand next time, snotty is so not a good look!

Tissues, pass me the tissues!!!! Oh that ending *sob* Well through my tears I have to say that I love this book, and I love the ending the most, I've gone sappy!!! Mav and Ricky are just sooooo fantastic and the hotness *fans self* I love cowboys! And you get a bit more of the lovely Dmirti and Carlo, in fact the whole book is just bursting exciting bits - you must go read. I would say this is my favourite but really all Patrica's books are my favourite when I'm reading them!!

I knew Mav had it in him! Yay cowboy! Who could ask for anyone more perfect for him than Ricky. And Michael? Pfft! A quarter of the way into the story and I thought he was such a jerk. Halfway through it, I wanted to snack him into next week!

Mav gets his man and Ricky gets someone who loves and deserves him.

Dévoré dans la soirée ! L'action de ce tome 3 se déroule en grande partie à cheval sur les événements du tome 2, ce qui nous fait revivre quelques scènes (dont le fameux threesome), vu côté Maverick cette fois. C'est un plaisir de retrouver ce grand cow boy bourru au grand cœur,qui tout en essayant de digérer sa rupture avec Dmitri, s’intéresse de près au jeune, adorable et flamboyant Rickie, drag queen de profession. Lequel, encore plein d'illusion sur sa relation avec son mannequin de petit ami, voit ses derniers espoirs se fracasser devant ses yeux. La rencontre de Mav et Rickie fait des étincelles, et l'attirance entre eux est immédiate, mais même une fois Rickie libre de plonger dans les bras protecteurs du cow-boy, encore faudra-t-il que ce dernier se décide enfin à sortir de son placard sombre, et rejoindre sa drag queen en pleine lumière.
L'histoire ne brille pas spécialement par son originalité, mais ce n'est pas ce que l'on recherche ici. C'est chaud, très chaud ! A mon sens un peu trop dès le départ, car ces messieurs raidissent bien facilement dans leur pantalon (ça ne doit pas être très confortable de se balader avec une érection permanente, non ?). De sorte qu'il manque cette progression du désir qui nous tient en haleine. Enfin, tout est relatif car il faudra attendre un moment avant la "consommation" , Rickie refusant de tromper son odieux boy friend. C'est tendre aussi, entre ce gros ours velu de Clem/Maverick, et le tout doux et lisse Rickie. J'ai beaucoup aimé ces deux personnages. On connaissait déja Maverick, et son cœur généreux, on découvre mieux sa solitude et son besoin d'avoir un homme rien que pour lui. Quand à Rickie, il est adorable. Son refus d'admettre qu'il est le seul à s'être investi dans sa relation avec le mannequin décérébré qui lui sert de petit ami est aussi énervant qu'il est touchant. Il fait partie de ces personnages que j'aime bien comparer à des petits cornichons: doux, acides, délicieux à croquer. J'en raffole ! Son grand cow boy aussi. Sexe et mignonitude, un très bon moment de lecture détente.

So here goes...Where to start....Oh yeah.....I absolutely hated Michael what an arrogant smarmy arsehole...I mean really can you get any worse than him...How he treated Ricky was disgusting I now know where I know Michael from ...Anyway Ricky was just a dream but i really wanted him to grow a pair before being told by the author that he actually has a very nice pair....But oh when Ricky and Maverick finally got it together...omg...so damned hot...I loved this book and i think of all three it is my absolute favourite....Maverick is my all time fav character out of all these three....Oh and the ending that oh so..nah you didn't think i was gonna tell you did you...You'll have to read it...I am now scurrying off to read some more...such a hard life reading about these hot men x

Devo dire che questo mi è piaciuto di più del secondo, Dmitri e Carlo proprio non vogliono starmi simpatici.
La Logan è brava a scrivere, però potrebbe anche non far stare i suoi personaggi in completo arrapamento 24 ore al giorno, tutti i santi giorni... A volte mi stanca che ragionino solo con le loro parti basse xD
Tornando al libro, Ricky è adorabile, forte anche se piccolo, certo però poteva accorgersi un po' prima che il suo fantomatico ragazzo modello l ostava tradendo da una vita, cavolo, non fare sesso da mesi in una relazione di poco più di un anno mica è normale -.- Visto quanto si è dimostrato forte in passato, questa cosa che si sottomettesse così tanto a Michael mi ha dato parecchio fastidio. Parliamo di cose belle: Mav, ecco, quest'uomo fa girare la testa *^*
Ma come anche per Ricky ha una personalità, ahimè, non ben definita, ha paura di fare coming out quando in realtà basandoci sui fatti non fa altro che arraparsi visibilmente per gli uomini, fare a botte con Carlo per Dmitri e prendere per mano Ricky, cioè, io direi che un tantino si poteva cpaire che è gay... specialmente dalla scena in cui lui affronta Michael alla mensa e praticamente sbandiera al mondo che tiene tantissimo a Ricky.
Non mi è piaciuta la scena finale, è troppo affrettata ç_ç avrei voluto un attimo di sviluppo, accidenti.

Romance and Fantasy for Cosmopolitan Girls
Leggendo “Stix” ero già rimasta affascinata dalla coppia formata dal ruvido cowboy Mav e dal suo androgino marito dagli occhi viola, chiedendomi quale fosse la loro storie ed ora sono stata esaudita. Finalmente.


L’aitante Clementine Maverick Walker è il prototipo del cowboy, alto, forte e dalla parlata strascicata del Texas. Un personaggio molto ben delineato, dalla scorza dura, ma che nasconde un cuore dolce e tenero che desidera solo trovare un uomo che lo possa amare colmando tutti i suoi vuoti. Credeva di averlo trovato in Dmitri, ma il giovane messicano non si era mai concesso a lui al cento per cento, non gli aveva mai aperto il suo cuore.
Come descritto in “Un’ottima annata” Mav viene messo da parte in favore dell’affascinante Carlo, famoso enologo italiano. La disputa continua anche in questo libro che ricalca parte degli eventi descritti precedentemente, ma rendendoli nella prospettiva di Maverick. Un uomo complesso che teme di rimanere per sempre solo anche a causa della sua paura di fare coming out in una zona non famosa per la sua tolleranza.


Ricky La Grange famosa drag queen di West Hollywood, minuto ragazzo dalle fattezze aggraziate, è in vacanza con il suo stronzissimo fidanzato Michael, super modello che gode nel metterlo in imbarazzo e trattarlo male. Come Mav, ci si chiede come mai un uomo gentile e sensibile come lui possa stare insieme ad un tipo simile, ma Ricky è un ragazzo molto insicuro, la sua vita è stata ricca di drammi e violenze, anche da parte della sua stessa famiglia.
Venendo a conoscenza di tutto ciò che gli è capitato, non si può che ammirare la sua forza ed il suo orgoglio nel vivere la sua vita al massimo delle sue potenzialità, senza perdere tempo a nascondere al mondo ciò che lui è veramente. Veste in modo sgargiante ed eccentrico, senza curarsi che tutto in lui urli “sono gay!”.

L’attrazione fra Clem e Ricky è istantanea, ma non sarà facile per i due cedervi, soprattutto a causa anche dell’estrema correttezza di Ricky nei confronti di un fidanzato fedifrago che non si merita certo un tale riguardo.
Una lettura emozionante, ricca di sentimenti, ma anche molto sensuale, come tutti i libri di Patricia Logan.
Assolutamente raccomandato, nessun fan della scrittrice potrà perdersi questo libro.

Ultima nota personale: sempre ripensando ai libri della serie del DOMZ club/Private only, l’acido e stronzo Michael diventa poi amorevole marito e padre di famiglia, spero proprio di riuscire, in un futuro, a leggere di questa strabiliante metamorfosi, ne sono davvero curiosa.

3,5 - Senza dubbio una relazione particolare, con un cowboy piuttosto massiccio e un ragazzo dai tratti delicati, che si esibisce come drag queen nei locali.
Come già in UN’OTTIMA ANNATA, la storia si svolge nel ranch, sorta di fattoria che concilia l’attività vinicola e quella ricettiva per turisti.
Qui incontriamo di nuovo la proprietaria, il cuoco buongustaio, nonché la precedente coppia Dmitri e Carlo degli Esposti (questa sorta di playboy italiano, biondo, che dovrebbe essere pure di famiglia agiata, quindi di buona cultura, e parla invece un inglese stentato, con un accento simile a un russo “Cosa tu fare mio Dmitri”… boh… forse mi sono persa qualche sfumatura del personaggio).
Maverick (ma lui preferisce farsi chiamare Clem) è ancora sofferente per la batosta di essersi visto scippare il bel Dmitri dall’italiano, finchè incontra il dolce Ricky, a sua volta preso in giro e scaricato dal fidanzato-modello, che risveglia in lui il massimo istinto di protezione.
Potrebbe essere subito amore, se non che la coppia precedente fa ancora in tempo a tentarlo con un menage a trois: ohibò, come al solito la Logan è diabolica a scompigliare le carte e a confondere il lettore, con la sua solita serafica naturalezza, disseminando improvvise scene al calor bianco che rendono incerta e intrigante la trama sino alla fine.
La scelta per Mav è particolarmente ardua: “più siamo, meglio è”, oppure tentiamo con un grande amore che potrebbe ritornare a casa alla fine della vacanza?
Lettura gustosa. Potrebbe sembrare un romanzo molto “carnoso”, ma c’è anche spazio per i sentimenti, e per momenti di grande tenerezza.

Era da quando avevo letto "Un'Ottima Annata" che aspettavo con trepidazione questo romanzo! La Logan ci aveva fornito una serie di indizi in anteprima a dir poco succulenti... Mav mi aveva intrigato fin dal romanzo precedente: un rude cowboy con un cuore d'oro ma con una paura folle di essere scoperto e di dover fare coming out. Innamorato di Dmitri, aveva dovuto arrendersi davanti ai sentimenti (contaccambiati) di quest'ultimo nei confronti di Carlo; ma ciò aveva dato il via a sviluppi mooolto interessanti! Ora Mav si trova praticamente stregato da Ricky, un giovane uomo appariscente e sicuro di se, bloccato però, a sua volta, in una relazione senza sbocchi con un uomo egoista, meschino e infido. Ho sofferto per Ricky che, con un passato tutt'altro che felice alle spalle, si fa trattare in quel modo da quell'odioso di Michael, ma ho amato molto la sua integrità e la sua sicurezza. Mav ha bisogno dei suoi tempi per capire cosa prova e per venire a patti con ciò che tutto questo comporta per lui e per la sua vita, ma questo è proprio uno degli aspetti che ho aprezzato di più nella narrazione.
Proprio il finale che avrei voluto per questa serie: momenti che mi hanno fatto soffrire parecchio ma ben bilanciati da altri dolcissimi e assolutamente perfetti.
