This volume marked as the middle of the story, but the story still go slow. The best arc already happened and the secret of the tower still remain hidden for now.
More interested than I thought I would be in an arc revolving around Shido. The insect users all have good designs and there is a heaping portion of fan service in this volume
The good: Shido and Madoka were utterly adorable together.
The bad: the fanservice in this volume was out of control. Beyond the usual half-naked Hevn scenes, four scantily clad women with huge breasts were introduced. I don't mind a bit of fanservice here and there, but I found the massive amounts of (bad) T&A especially obnoxious this time (seriously, the lesbian threesome on the street? A wee bit much).
Madoka and Shido are seriously such a cute couple. I really like their conversation about humans v. animals. No! Madoka is captured! The Kiriudo are so evil! And they are too strong too, so people get so hurt fighting them. I'm glad everyone is coming to help Shido. Kirihito is such a lame wimp.
a lot of fan service at spider nest. poor Gin-chan lost his power to save his life. Ban-chan sure is a tsundere who couldn’t say his true feeling. *smirk*
