This highly-informative handbook is intended to help congregations implement the task of making disciples in their own community. Go Make Disciples provides updated resources for preparing adults for baptism or affirmation of baptism, and for Christian discipleship. Appropriate for a wide range of Protestant denominations, especially Lutheran, Episcopal, Anglican, United Methodist, Presbyterian, and Reformed traditions.
This is a wonderfully practical guide to establishing the intentional prectice of baptism-centered discipleship in a congregation. It's also easily applicable/adaptable to any denomination, not just Lutheranism. My only disappointment is that many of the steps/suggestions would be difficult to undertake in a small congregation (which is the general reality for so many congregations today).
Some great thoughts on how to really focus on baptism and discipleship as opposed to just membership in the church - I look forward to incorporating some of this in the future.
