The true name for this book is Michi, but it has been changed in Goodreads for some reason...

This book is absolutely delightful. Every page is full of nooks and crannies, tiny staircases, and little windows of light. Each page contains a whimsical world you can explore for hours and find something new all the time. I am in awe at JunAida’s skill to tell a story without the need for words. I know this is a collection I will return to when I’m feeling down, and I’m so excited to have it on my shelves.

We went to an exhibit of Junaida's work this summer in Hiroshima, where we saw many pages of this book in the original. Stunning. We now have several of his books in our library, which we purchased at the exhibit.

This one is for all the lovers out there who traveled far and wide to find their sweetheart.

何年か前に本屋で見かけ、引き込まれた。
本をどちらから「読んで」も、物語に入れる。
そして、道を辿っていく途中で通り抜ける様々な街がまた楽しい。
(そういや小さい時「まち」と「みち」の区別がちかない子供だった...音も似てるし、同じ場所にあるし...)

不思議なのは、一ページ一ページの紙が厚い事。何故だろう？子供が何度も行ったり来たり(ページを捲る事で)できるように？
嫌いではないけれど、自分用に買うのは躊躇してしまう。(本棚がいっぱいでもう入らないので)

ところで、何故英題(？)“Meet Me”??????
まぁ、「Michi」じゃ分からんか。
