This book has me feeling so many emotions with these two like WHAT THE FUCK. I’m so freaking proud of Erin for writing a book and of this caliber!!

The story was so fascinating and kept you reeled in. It’s not a very long book but I felt like I was watching a movie unfold with Claire and Anders. I would have read an even more in depth story of these two if given the chance. This was just a nice short novel with end of the world action and just the sweetest love I’ve seen of two characters. Ugh just got me all in my feels😩

I’m not usually a second chance/slow burn reader (I’m impatient) but this was so worth it!
I loved Claire and Anders story despite being on the edge of my seat just WAITING for them to finally reunite. Spoiler alert - it was worth it!
I loved Anders and how Erin wrote him as not just a strong MMC, but an emotionally intelligent one. The women in STEM representation also was a cool change for me to read!

if I had tears I’d cry at how beautiful this book is

The story is pretty self-explanatory. There are some trigger warnings. I appreciate that Erin warns us about them before hand because I get angry with one scene where this a-hole really does something sinister to Claire!! Because of how well the scene is written, as well as the entire book, I was provoked! This is what makes good storytelling.

A short but amazing read. The plot keeps you going, wondering when the big one will hit. I enjoyed the juxtaposition between then and now and the overall writing of the characters. You won't regret giving this a little read.

What an exciting and beautiful entry into the world of authorship for Erin Roisin! The way she writes about trauma, the characters’ emotions and the tension between them is prosaic and all-encompassing. I also loved that there wasn’t a “resolution” for the trauma specifically - most times the bad guy doesn’t go down, but we can hea from it anyway, and that’s how we win. I never thought I would be into an end of the world, second chance romance, but Anders and Claire won me over. Bravo Erin, I can’t wait to read about Jeremy and Tomiko!

I'm completely biased. I did read this an ungodly number of times though and found things to be proud of each time :)
