Learn about the life of one of today's most popular musicians in this Who HQ Now biography about Harry Styles and his exciting career from One Direction to his Grammy-winning solo performances.
In 2010, Harry Styles was thrust into the spotlight when he auditioned for X-Factor and was placed in a new band called One Direction. That band of five young men would go on to place third in the competition, but their time together wouldn't stop there. They went on to release five albums and headline four international tours. When the band went on a break in 2016, Harry Styles decided to pursue his dream of being a solo artist. Since then, Harry has released three albums, sold out massive tours, and won a Grammy award. In addition to his musical success, Harry has also acted in several blockbuster movies, including Dunkirk and Don't Worry Darling . In everything that he does, Harry inspires his fans to "Treat People With Kindness," his slogan that encourages people to love and respect everyone around them.
Wow! I don’t remember the last time a book made me cry… but this one definitely got me. Reading a book about how this global superstar has changed the lives of his fans was very touching and personal to me. What an inspiring story about a compassionate super star!
RRR. Raw. Real. Riveting. This is Harry Edward Styles, the 16 year old baker who took a chance to make his dreams a reality. Loved the section on the Larry Fandom!! Perfect for Ms. Poncius’ classroom. #tpwk #larry

3.5 stars. I got this book for Christmas and I've been wanting to read it since then. I didn't know this existed, but I'm glad it does. This book was cool to read because it gave me up-to-date info and an interesting perspective of Harry's life. I liked this book.
In Gaga’s words "Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, complety never been done before." The most wonderful addition to my classroom. I love educating the youth!!!
I have to give this five stars because it is about Harry Styles. This book is by the who was/is series. This series is all about educating children on who is, who was, what is and what was any person or historical event. This book was so fun because I grew up with this artist and got to see all the events that the book touches upon. Starting with Harry's X Factor audition to the concert tour he just ended that I was lucky to attend. I really thought this book was so fun and so easy, and I could be bias because I love Harry. I do think this series is incredible. I grew up on this series and it helped educate me and teach me so many historical figures and events. The way all the books are written are great for a transition book. They have some images and photos throughout the book, big text, easy language, and short chapters. I really enjoyed this and would add this book to my bookshelf. I would realistically add any book from this series to my bookshelf because of its educational nature. I think that students would like this book because they have probably heard Harry's songs on the radio. I think in general it can help teach students and get them excited about a nonfiction book without realizing it.
The biography "Who is Harry Styles" by Kirsten Anderson is a perfect book for emerginging independent readers who are interested in reading about a popular figure in the music industry. The book describes in a perfect amount of detail (able to grasped by young readers) Harry's journey from growing up to discovering his love for music and eventually to stardom. The illustrations in the book, while black and white, are very detailed and engaging and the diction and word choice in the book is appropriate for the age target. I highly recommend this book, as well as all of the other books in the "Who Was..." series, to readers in grades 3-5 who are eager to learn more about idols of the past and the present.
The first maybe 70-75% of this book is respectful and phenomenally well written. It focuses on Harry Styles and the start of One Direction. It would have easily been 5 stars had it stopped there. Then, the book gets unnecessarily “woke” for lack of a better term, and it largely deteriorates at that point. I do not think the children’s books need to deal with certain adult type issues, nor that they should. I guess this would be a 3.5 rounded up because of the few sentences that were inappropriate for a children’s book.

I cannot believe that Harry has become a big enough icon to warrant one of these books, but at the same time, I’m not surprised at all. This was so sweet and was very concise yet informational about who Harry is and what got him to where he is today. This is really sweet for young kids interested in getting to know who Harry is and what he stands for. I ❤️ these books.
This book helps me learn more about one of my favorite celebrities Harry Styles. I really like this book because I have a lot of background knowledge on Harry Styles and this book gave me more facts about him. This book is definitely one that I would keep in the classroom along with many other books that students could explore on their own or I could read aloud as well.
Who Is Harry Styles is a biography about the singer and actor Harry Styles. The book goes over his family life, his solo career, and most importantly, his career in One Direction that started on July 23, 2010.
I really enjoyed this book and have previously loved other books by Who Is HQ. Harry Styles is a major singer that many people have listened to and love so having an accessible and reliable source that talks about his life si a great resource for people to learn about him.
I adore Harry Styles. I bought this book with my students in mind. they love the Who is, Who was series of books. I plan on teaching my students biography writing and I will use this as the class example. My students know I love Harry Styles.
"And then, for the first time since 2010, Harry was on his own." FULL BODY CHILLS Informational and inspiring. My only complaint is that the illustrations from the X Factor days make their pants look way too normal.
3 could’ve written this in my sleep!!!! Not a single new fact I didn’t already know. I know it’s an overview but sheeeeeeeesh give me a lil more than just album names!!!

This was a fast read which told the story of Harry Styles rise from One Direction to a soloist. Since he has not been in the world of music for very long, it was a short read.
