A Wee Guide to the Picts

Rate this book
The Picts ruled much of Scotland in the Middle Ages and had a strong and distinct culture- yet little survives of this warlike and artistic people. This Wee Guide describes what is known about the history of the Picts, and discusses the enigma of their symbol stones. A gazetteer of Pictish sites lists the best symbol stones and museums to visit, and the text is enhanced by many illustrations and maps.

A great little guide to the Picts. It was published in Scotland but I got it from a vendor at a Highland Games in Michigan. A great intro and handy for locating "stanes" if in Scotland.
