Adele Knowles is just hired as the new event planner for the Boston Bears hockey team. Dominik Tomondi is the star defenseman and thinks he found his perfect match. As the sparks between them threaten to melt the ice around Adele's heart, will Dominik be able to convince her the past is the past and that her future is with him?
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sweet and snappy, Hat Trick scores points for combining sports romance charm with a heroine trying to move forward from her past. Adele and Dominik have easy chemistry, and the Boston hockey backdrop adds a cozy wintry appeal. It’s low-angst and heartwarming—great for when you want a feel-good romance with just a hint of heat.
I really liked this book. The description of the story intrigued me to read it, even with the reviews of "too unbelievable" . I enjoy happily ever after stories, and romance that always ends riding off into the sunset. This did not disappoint. It may have needed a bit of editing, but that didn't bother me. I liked the story and loved the characters. I fell in love with them like characters in a tv show or movie, two characters you want so badly to see end up together. I would love to read another book from her, one that follows Dom and Adele, or another member of the Bears.
2.5 Stars. I wish I could have rated this book higher but unfortunately the story was not believable for me. I found it hard to believe that any man would admit to his friends that he was in Love with someone that he had only ever had superficial conversations with. The book felt as though there were pieces missing which left it washed out and limp. The overall idea was good and the characters well thought out but their interactions need work.
I liked the book. It was a nice quick read. it only took me a little over 3 hours to finish. I felt that the story had a lot of build up and that the endind just did not do the rest of the book justice. it felt like the end of the book was a bit rushed. all in all it was a once sweet read.
I liked the book...Huge hockey lover here but there were parts of it that made me mad. I didn't understand why Adele didn't trust Dom with what was going on and HELLO it's his life as well, shouldn't he have a voice in the direction its going to go. But all in all I liked the book.
This is a hockey romance story with easy to like characters. I thought the story was predicable and I didn't always agree with Adele's decisions. Dom was a nice guy and was always honest with Adele. Adele was always going back and forth and changing her mind.
