Bought by a stiff bird keen to take up yoga. Very accessible for beginners when used alongside a conventional class. I must admit the bird featured is very flexible though , unlike the reader !
Relieve stress, become fitter and more flexible, you’re never too old to start.
The guide is beautifully illustrated and easy to understand. One of my favourite poses in the book is Happy Baby. There are poses for energy, poses for bedtime and more. You can start from as little as 5 minutes a day and work up to more.
I am loving all the author’s bird illustrations throughout the book, they’re adorable. I am enjoying using this guide so much, I just love yoga and feel so good afterwards.
Awesome! Funny and substantial. I love the cute illustrations accompanied by short explanations. If you need an overview of the basic yoga poses, here they are. It gives me ideas on how to navigate students simply if I ever start teaching again. Truly yoga for everybody. :)
Yoga is for everyone! If this bird can do it, ANYONE can.
A fun little book: various yoga poses with pictures of birds doing them, for beginners and inspiring for those who already practice. There are some sequences (movement series) that one might put bookmarks into, for later ouse. Each pose comes with its original name, plus how to do them, and occasionally what benefits one might gain for doing them.
Sometimes I wish books with exercises were more easier to keep open so one can in the first few rounds of doing them check how the movements are done. The same might be the case here, but mostly here it’s simple about getting into a pose; some others include a few movements first. But I think it’s a cheerful idea to use birds to encourage the stiffer people to try some of these poses, even if one doesn’t feel all are possible or fun.
If you are interested in giving yoga a try, you can go online and print out a bunch of exercises for free. Or, you can spend a few bucks to buy this book, which is not only more solid, but also supplies pictures of a hilarious bird with every pose.
