Good goods come in small parcels comes to mind while reading Lorne Patterson's first Novel Witch.
The death of a paedophile and an investigation led by detective Jamie McFadden takes us to Scotland and a secluded clinic called Haven for abused women. Haven is a home to more than abused woman as it has a deep dark history which unfolds as the story is told.
Started this book at night but realised very quickly why I should read in the daylight as is quite dark and freaky. This is not my normal reading genre but enjoyed the read and look forward to this author's next novel.
made me feel a little uneasy at first, because it was so well written felt like you were there.not for the squeamish.little graphic at first if it was authors way of getting your attention,it works.good job taking you from one time period to another, and having them come together.let me wanting a book 2,good first book will read another from this author, when one comes out.
