Together with Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach he was one of the most important realistic writers in the German language of the ending 19th century in Austria.

Had to make a presentation about this book that's why I picked it up. The topic of it strangely corresponded to my personal situation at the time. It's amazing how you find what you are supposed to at the right time.
